Verrills is suspended for Rnd 1, and Marschke can't play until after Rnd11 (unless Covid strikes), so we may have to use Lussick first up.

I also don't think we'd carry both Watson & Hutch on the bench. I'd expect to see Egan or maybe even Atoni in place of Hutchison.

i was surprised he used Verrils so much last night and not given more game time to the RD1 hooker. I thought Marschke may have been that person for rd 1 but looks like that can’t happen.

If Keary is out round 1 does Hutch get the nod straight away or has Volkman stand a chance? I thought Hutchison was pedestrian in defense at times and it would be good to have some distance kicking.

I don't think it will happen but it will be interesting to see if Volkman plays next week.

We lacked spark in attack and really need exceptional talents to be playing like Walker, Kerry and Suuali, Tedesco, who can create line breaks from nothing. We’ve got the forwards to hold our own but I’ve yet to see our attack as impressive as our defence was yesterday which I thought was exceptional. Also penalties are going to make us struggle again this year. We need to be more professional in this regard.
