so much can happen in a week that any prediction a year out needs to be put in perspective. probably a third of the teams are no chance of winning, a third are little chance and the other third are a realistic chance. we're a realistic chance.

I wouldn't watch the footy unless I thought we had a legit chance of winning.

IMO the clean slate is important! Too many things piled up against us last year. Getting the chance to forget about all of them and move on is massive.

So you didn’t watch much during the 80s and 90s? Never picked you for a bandwagoner.

          I think they’ll definitely make top 15

You seriously pick Luai over Keary? Luai struggled without Cleary, whereas Keary was doing quite well with Lam outside him , until his injury.

After what the team delivered last season with all of the adversity there's every reason to be optimistic.

I still think we are weak in areas such as dummy half, second row and in the three-quarters. Time will tell.

I have never NOT watched a match because I thought we couldn't win. I always think we can win, because we always can. it is always possible, and if you don't watch those matches you miss out on our greatest victories.

We need to stiffen up our defence if we are going to press the likes of the panthers and the storm.
It's all well and good blaming injuries but since we did the repeat we have been beaten up the middle against those teams and souths.
Panthers despite losing a few personnel still have some of the most dominant players in the game in their positions and some of our boys have been butting heads with them for nearly a decade through the grades.
Let's just hope we can get a fair crack with injuries and we'll be giving it a shake.

Agree. Supporting the team for so many years and attending most games during the 90s has made me appreciate the good times that much more.

Have another read. He said “Keary not considered”.

I saw that, but it's ridiculous, how can you have Keary and Collins not considered, they START in any combined team. Also Api over Sammy V... no way, and no TKO.... thats just silly. So my team has 4 more roosters in it. 13 to 5.

As long as we have no injuries in 2022 we will win

That's what made 2002 so special was the long drought and tough times we had endured since 75.
I could understand the feelings souths and cronulla fans had when they finally won the comp, it's what makes it worthwhile as you can't always win at everything. Losing and learning to accept it is part of life.

A Round 1 team - Verrills not considered either due to suspension

Players sometimes struggle to be the same again after coming back from ACL's so need to see how they go - the combined team is a round 1 hypothetical team.

Can we see your combined team as having only 5 Panthers in it compared to 13 Roosters seems a bit light on as after all Penrith did win the comp
