Yeah I think there's a difference between being a development coach and being a 'pep the boys up for an exhibition game' coach.

Both are separate skills. IMO generally speaking superstars are good at pepping people up. Whereas, Robbo/Bellamy-style coaches love the to-and-fro of developing their players over an extended period of time.

It was JWH birthday yesterday he turned 33. Happy Birthday Big fella.
I love the bloke & I love the toughness, aggression, thuggery, intimidation, grubbiness, bullying that he brings to the table & he played a massive part in the 3 Premierships but is 33 to old?
Is he past his prime?
I hope not but I think he will play less minutes than he has in the past. In my time following the Chooks JWH is the best front rower Ive seen, he's a mean mofo on the field & he takes on the oppositions big blokes & does his best to hurt them. Of course the Chooks have had other good mean props but they havnt done it for as long as JWH, he a beast.

Happy Birthday JWH. Love the Beast, buying him after just a few games for Manly was a great move, every team needs an enforcer to lift the confidence of the younger players, and he certainly does that.
Some of his efforts have lifted the whole team, and won games for us, I rememeber one game in particular, I think it was against Parra, and we were down, he scored a try by running 30 mtrese straight through them. 33 now, so maybe this year and next year left, he will be hard to replace.Maybe Whyte, Baker, or Fifita will stand up, maybe even one of the Va'a boys will be ready by then.

I just happened to scroll down, and down the page , there was a guy who resembled a beach ball, more than an athlete- I laughed - it was Latrell.
I posted my comments on the chookpen, but you obviously took offence , to your beloved Souffs, and your man- love for Latrell.

He is a disgrace because he has pissed on, and constantly pisses on, the club that developed him as a junior and gave him 2 premierships.
He is a disgrace because he pissed off Robbo & Uncle Nick so bad in his contract negotiations that we made the UNPRECEDENTED move of withdrawing any contract offer to him.
He is a disgrace because after he left our club, his highlights reel show him purposely breaking people's faces, lashing out with his boots and breaking jaws, as well as countless other acts of thuggery.
He is a disgrace because he uses the public arena to promote is aboriginal agenda at EVERY opportunity - Ad Nauseam where everyone is sick to death of it. Kinda with ya here. I think the guy will struggle at Souths personally. Has copped some bad advice in his life it seems. Moreover, who cares ...we have plenty of talent at home.
