Another I can remember required me to consult a dictionary - "Refulgent Roosters" (it means "shining gloriously bright").
Yep I was going to say the same ...though it was so long I couldn't remember it all.

Refulgent ? it just sounds like something Rex would've spat out ... like codgitate or libation !

The horn was fun at first but its become so blatantly fake now, it’s embarrassing. If I was one of those ‘legends’ they select each time to blow the horn, I wouldn’t feel honourd at all!

Its only saved by the fact it leads into the Viking clap which tbh, is still pretty cool as no other club does anything like it.

Rex was quite open minded really.

I recall him saying he had no issue at all with homosexuality, just didn't want it rammed down his throat.

This Is Our House was a good'un. Hope it is used with the new stadium. One of my faves.

'We'll get by with a little help from our Friend'

            'Pearce de resistance'

            'Todd Carnage'.

was it homosexuality or was it after he apprehended a couple of naked people in the street heading for the nudist beach near his place ...and when asked why he did a citizens arrest of the nude bathers, he replied "he did not want male genitalia rammed down his throat"
              ...gotta luv old Rex !

Yep, he made the citizens arrest when the nudist was in the bush near Rex's place close to Reef beach and that's when he made that comment.

This was also another quote from him.

Mossop admitted to “an opinion on every conceivable thing. Like it or lump it.’’ His opinion on women argued, “A brainy woman is a dangerous woman’’, and on homosexuality he insisted, “I’m not homophobic, I just don’t want anything to do with them.’’

TBH most of those cited, apart from the Big Willie, are pretty unremarkable. What about "Easts to Win!!!"?

When that rivalry with Canterbury was alive and thriving, I was always amused by "Sunsilk Poofs" which was trotted out at match ups.

PS This week in Off Topic I discuss - the Best Money Managers and the US "Alliance".

I seem to recall a GF banner sign in 2013 - "Forever in your Grand Final seats"

We played Souffs last game of the premiership rounds that season and whoever won it was going to be minor premiers. Souffs had a banner which read 'Scum. Forever in our shadow.'. I'm guessing the banner you mention might have been in response to that
