He said that he is staying at Matty Johns house till the 4th of Dec then he returns to Melbourne.
From my reading of Matty Johns I believe he admires both the Roosters & the Storm, I think he really likes how Melbourne develop players under Bellamy how they continue to be the bench mark but I also think when Matty puts away his jovial side he has a massive admiration for Nick Politis, he might joke about sombrero's & brown paper bags but he also knows that Nick, Robbo & the whole Roosters organisation are a PREMIUM club in the NRL. Pound for pound the Chooks are like Manchester United or the Dallas Cowboys they are heavy weights of their comps.

Having followed the Roosters since 1966, I understand what the Cheese meant when he talked about the jersey. I'm also very impressed with what Nick and Robbo have done with this club recently.
I'll go to my grave a happy man. I do intend to stick around until they win a couple of more comps tho.

On that last point, we didn't pursuit Reed Mahoney who is a genuine hooker, so I have more doubts that Cheese would want to join us to share the hooker/lock roles. But perhaps Robbo believes Cheese can be coached into becoming a genuine hooker.

he got a bit emotional about our club.
One of the of the few extra comments was:
- Robbo told him he wanted him to be an enforcer for the side. Someone who brought everyone together well and fired up the side (he referenced Luke O'Donnell 2013)
- Radley was mentioned a few times from the host and Brandon himself. They were both excited about the idea of the two playing side by side and demolishing opponents in defence
- Brandon seemed to imply he loved Radleys personality. I could see them getting along like a house on fire (both on and off the field)
- Brandon wants to be a leader. Says he speaks his mind, is energetic and talks a lot. Robbo himself thought this was really importantLast edited by Chook Norris; 11-29-2021, 01:08 AM.

The question that I’ll like ask you blokes is this - How are the Storm handling this ?? Surely they’ll be fuming at the bit about Cheese going off early talking about winning premierships in other colours… could this all be a ploy for him to try to agitate a early release?? Doubt it tbh.. the storm know what he’s doing and are too smart to get lured in.
Either way it really isn’t the best look for them and their fans mustn’t be happy

Brandon Smith informs NRL clubs he’s signing with Sydney Roosters
Brent Read
Melbourne star Brandon Smth has confirmed his move to the Sydney Roosters in 2023.
News Corp understands that Smith began informing other clubs of his plans on Monday morning, having also attracted interest from North Queensland and the Dolphins.
The Storm were also desperate to keep the New Zealand international but he has opted to join the Roosters after being wined and dined by the club last week.
Smith played golf with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Jake Friend and Mitch Aubusson, and then spent several hours at the home of Roosters coach Trent Robinson.
The Storm hooker clearly walked away impressed, having detailed the day in an interview with YKTR Sports over the weekend.
“It was actually mind blowing,” Smith told YKTR Sports.
“I can’t explain it … like I went and golfed with Jared, Aubo and Friendy, and Nick Politis was ringing them. He is over in LA on a business trip at the moment and he is ringing them up just to see how they are.
“And they spoke with so much passion about the club … I think the best thing about the Roosters, bro, they are about your life, not your footy.
“Like, they want you to be set for life. They don’t want you to walk away with nothing from rugby league. They just pushed that. They can tell you how they are going to help you with life … it was just mind blowing.”
