Trent Barrett now has a good gym with new facilities as well as a good playing roster.
What or who is he going to blame next year after another failed campaign?

The Dogs have still got to get quality at 9,7 & 1 before they will be contenders but believe me they will have a top notch 7 & 9 by 2024.
'I woulda scored Wayne Bennett if they'd kept me'... lolz.

They will blame Flanagan cause he’ll still be a shit and slow footballer.

I love it when the Dogs are a top 4 side.
They still need a halfback or hooker & it wouldnt surprise me if they also sign for 2023 either Jerome Hughes or Brandon Smith
Prefer them down the bottom of the ladder.

              I haven't forgotten the 2002-2004 era.

From what I read the other day that Melbourne will not be offering him a deal after his current contract as it appears he will be going to dolophins

Trying to put a quality team together from just imported first graders doesn't work in most cases (unless they are on peptides!).....anyone who remembers the Roosters of the 90's will remember that very well
My point was that all those players were brought to the dogs club from elsewhere. None were local juniors. The dogs fans from that era would claim that their players were bred not brought. Yet many of the mentioned players were not local juniors, so they were "brought" into their system. Which as you mentioned is the key for success. But those fans would disregard the fact their players weren't locals. Which contradicted their bred not brought cries

Dolphins have signed Anthony Mundine as an assistant to Bennett. Hughes wants to play under him.

The League would only have Roosters supporters left following the game (20,000 supporters) which wouldnt be good & all the other clubs would start a new comp because playing in a comp that only 1 team wins every year would have no appeal.
Thank yourself lucky that the NRL has different Premiers because without different teams winning the comp there would be no comp.

I think it was 2003 & the Roosters beat the Bulldogs at the SFS to go into the GF. That game is up there with the Roosters v Newcastle in 2000 to go into our first GF in 25 years & the Roosters v Manly 4-0 game. I have only seen 2 better games of footy then those 3 games & that was the 2018 GF & the best of all the 2018 Prelim against a red hot Souths team.
I get a really good feeling when I see a red hot Chooks team play & just beat a red hot Manly, Dogs, Broncos, Souths or Melbourne, I get high from it.

The game survived the dragons 11 straight seasons of dominance, but I see your point. Ask most fans from any club if they want their team to win every season and you'll probably hear them all say they want their team to win it every year

You're 100% right but if they really thought about it they would get my point.
Im happy to see the Roosters pretty much always be a top 5 team & winning 2 or 3 comps every decade. Keeps it all interesting that way. I could handle 4 years in a row of the Roosters winning the comp but then I'd like another team to win it so it gives everyone a break from the Chooks winning it. Another thing most supporters of other teams who I know always rib me about the Roosters being cheats, sometimes I defend the Chooks & say thats not right other times I just shake my head but if the Chooks won the comp even 4 years in a row the conspiracies would be deafening.

People like to run a story that we win games by cheating the cap in order to buy in top notch players from elsewhere.

IMO the story's become more and more stale as fans have come to the realisation that it's a professional sport, there's a cap and you can buy whoever the fark you want. It's really not a big issue that clubs buy marquee players. If somebody's club hasn't bought any marquee players then I think fans would have seperate issues with that.
