What's not to like about this guy?
About as damaging as it gets as a ball runner.
At the same time, he sucks defenders in to him, and throws sublime passes to his outside supports.
And defensively , can hit like a train.

I love it when the Dogs are a top 4 side.
They still need a halfback or hooker & it wouldnt surprise me if they also sign for 2023 either Jerome Hughes or Brandon Smith

The problem for Penrith is that they obviously banked on keeping Kikau because they lost Capewell, too. Who imo is more valuable to them.

But 800k is waaayyyy overs for Kikau. He's an impact player.

See I think that was another smart decision from the Panthers, the 500k that was supposedly paid for Capewell was overs too. He kind of just does everything at a first grade standard level with no real stand out ability in any one category. A good squad player, elevated by a really good team around him.

With the talent they have coming through the junior system you'd just back to them to find someone who can play at First Grade level quite quickly and if not then they go into the market and can probably get a 2nd rower at a similar level to Capewell with just as much talent and half the price.

I’ve got to many other things to worry about than hating the 15 other NRL sides.
I love my Chooks & this might be a bit hard for you to comprehend but I wouldn’t love the Chooks if it wasn’t for the other 15 clubs.
There is not 1 player playing NRL that I dislike, I have to personally know someone before I can dislike them & I don’t know any of them, I don’t listen to people who put shit on players or other clubs.
It doesn’t bother me that other teams win the comp, I think it’s good. If the Roosters were the only team to win the comp I wouldn’t follow the NRL.

Whatever happened to "Bred not bought" the supporters used to throw around a few years ago?

I was just about to type the same. The wheel certainly has done the full circle ...15 years ago they were all over the Roosters with the 'Bred Not Bought' slogan.
I know they had a cleanout of the roster ...but gee some very established players have come into the club and they wont be cheap. Could be some cap heartache coming in a few years time

Burton, Naden, Hetherington, Kikau all Penrith boys, I can see Gus also signing a few up & coming Panthers players. I know they make out that Gus & Penrith parted amicably but Im sure Gus would hold a bit of a grudge about the way I Cleary was rehired without his knowledge & then being given the punt once Ivan arrived.
The Dogs have still got to get quality at 9,7 & 1 before they will be contenders but believe me they will have a top notch 7 & 9 by 2024.

I know the photo of Kikau was leaked through the security cameras.....& Phil Gould has already apologised, but i just don't get why it was necessary for Kikau to go Canterbury Leagues and put on a Dogs t shirt to sign the contract when he is contracted to Penrith for 2022. Send the contract to his player manager so he can sign it in his office and then do the mock signing to appease the Dogs fans and sponsors at the end of the season. Its not as if they are signing an top 10 elite player.....eventually they will realise he is just going to be another Tony Williams.

Its actually pretty poor form from Gould who should have known better. Anyhow the bright side is we should all feel very lucky to have Nick & Trent steering our club....they wouldn't even contemplate pulling off a stunt like that

Price, Mason, SBW, Anasta, Myles, Perry, Thurston.... all were discovered at a young age, developed and made their debuts at the club- thats a formula for success.

Trying to put a quality team together from just imported first graders doesn't work in most cases (unless they are on peptides!).....anyone who remembers the Roosters of the 90's will remember that very well

Dogs have got it wrong once agian,,,,,,there top 6 highest paid players don’t come from there spine!!!! That will do me. The ship needs to be balanced especially with someone professional and good enough to steer it which they have Flanagan Dufty & Marshall-king. Yes Burton is a gun but he still needs a Cleary type next to him.
