IMO they should do up Redfern and have their own oval. They've got the $$$ and assert they're a proud club. However, they haven't had their own stadium since re-joining the comp.
I mean WTF?!? Surely that's a good enough reason to give them the boot? Like 'you don't have a stadium, so you can't really be in the comp until you have somewhere to play footy... ay?!? You already claim 1/2 the eastern suburbs as 'Souffs territory' so no... you can't use their stadium or Homebush for that matter! Do... up... Redfern... then submit your business case for being a team!!!'

Propped up by folk with dosh one of whom in Crowe is pulling out although he is struggling to find a buyer for his 37.5% stake in the Vermin - I suggested on another site since their supporters were receiving increased COVID welfare benefits at one stage including a rise in centrelink payments they could pool their money and buy Crowe and others out as they bang on about how many fans and members they have - i.e a Green Bay Packers ownership scenerio
Before we get into "the new age thinking" and what is "politically correct" lets get a few facts right.
Firstly, the stadium is built on the site of the old Sydney Sportsground - which was always the Roosters home ground.
Secondly, the "notional" boundary between us and Souffs has always been Anzac Parade- commentators are always saying how anything East of the parade is Roosters territory, anything on the other side belongs to Souffs.
So how do you come to the conclusion the the new stadium is to be shared by both clubs?
It just doesn't work, despite all the new age thinkers ( delusional Crowe included) and all those politically correct thinking that we ned to share everything.
Souffs need to go back to Redfern Oval or some other dump in their own area - its where they belong, and where their supporters are.
I have a feeling this "sharing" issue is more to do with recouping the $ spent on the stadium ($ always rears its ugly head these days) , more than anything else.
