Don't agree until Roosters get there junior club's back from south's otherwise NO DEAL!!!!

having moore park our home an now our centre of excellence there too wouldn't sit well with us that other teams to share it!

Why build centre of excellence at moore park if we had to share our home doesn't make sense!
AFL,RUGBY, SOCCER etc......! Ain't a threat to Roosters so makes sense to share but another NRL club ? Faarrrrrkkkk no!!!!

    South's are farkkkkn dreaming bro

Moore park is our home since 1908
Souths will be playing out of the new footy Stadium 1 million percent. They wont be able to use the Centre of Excellence but they will be allowed to play out of the new Stadium.
Souths have invested in the South East of Sydney & will have their own Centre of Excellence in Marourbra which is being built as I type.

The roosters will have no say in where Souths play... we are not talking about using the Centre of Excellence...we are talking about the ground! Souths have their own Centre of excellence in Maroubra as Mickie Lane states.
I am curious though as to where most Souths fans reside these days....just like Easts and other foundation clubs, so many of their fans are in the burbs!

Come on, those membership numbers at souths aren’t real their crowd averages don’t reflect it.

Vermin have no revenue generating assets though and how long will Crowe and Packer hang around for- A few poor seasons and their membership numbers will decrease as well as their crowds - sponsors don't tend to stick around when a club isn't travelling well either.

Well things are not so rosy- like a lyric from The Clash Song Cheapskates on Give 'Em Enough Rope - "Like a load of rats from a sinking ship"

Crowe will sell his 37.5 per cent stake in the club after a difficult year professionally and personally.- Packer wont be far behind him in selling his stake

South Sydney reportedly owe Russell Crowe $1.6 million that could take a decade to pay off

I feel like property prices are a barrier. While I spent a heap of my childhood living in Paddington (which will never be as expensive as most of the eastern suburbs... it's still the poor man's part of the east), I've never been able to find work let alone housing in Sydney.

Maybe one day but my wife and I have settled in Canberra. We bought a house for $400k (I kept my little $300k apartment at the time) and after paying off both we renovated our home + bought a few townhouses in inner-suburbs. Houses on our street (smaller + unrenovated) now sell for $1.5m+ and apartments in that block sell for roughly $600k. Most of our townhouses would be worth $800k+ now. I'm personally very glad that we were able to access this market and have a comfortable mode of living.

TBH we'd need to sell all our property and both get significant pay bumps in order to move to Sydney (anywhere - not just the eastern suburbs). I love Sydney (and we own a little 1 storey terrace in Surry Hills that I inherited) but right now I think the closest I'll get to living there is the occasional visit to see family and/or footy. I doubt my salary (or appetite for borrowing money) will ever match an eastern suburbs lifestyle.

Guessing this is just how it is though. We don't have to live somewhere to back the footy team. Arguably our Sydney property's in Souffs territory as it's Surry Hills (Taylor Square end though, so access to everything I knew as a kid). Meh. I don't really know or care. IMO Souffs don't really exist as a territory... it's a bit of a myth that Redfern and Waterloo were ever are a breeding ground for junior footy players IMO. Maroubra, Coogee, Randwick...etc are all the eastern suburbs that Souffs seem to think they own (at least we seem to have kept them outta Coogee for now).

Do AFL clubs have the backing of a revenue generating asset, Pokie dens?
Whats Snapn1 mean when he's talking 48 mil over 25 years?
People probably asked 25 years ago if Nick would still be around in 25 years & he is so Packer could also be around for Souths in 25 years.
