Well the players vote so it's not like we can claim there was some media bias / NRL rort that came into play. Do we really need this thread?
I've only seen Walsh play a few times, but I was gobsmacked the first time I saw him play. Dude is the complete package. His running and passing game is insane. His stats destroy RTS in the play making department

Both are outstanding prospects. can offer a positive argument for both so no way is it ridiculous for Walsh to get the nod. As 6 said Walker played the tougher position but it also is a position that showed up his defensive liability being such a lightweight. Anyway we dont need a FB we need a half, so Walker is better for us. Still a few years before we see the best of Sam.

I was just reading an article in the press about Munster blowing up because there are no Storm players mentioned in the Daly M player of the year / best in position awards.
I reckon that's a fair call.
The Storm have been by far the most impressive side this year , so how does Olam, Brandon Smith, Jerome Hughes, Hynes, not even get a mention?
It beggars disbelief when the usual suspects are rolled out like Turbo (deserved) , but Cherry Evans, Cody Walker, Nathan Cleary, and even Teddy (good season but not exceptional)
Seems to me that the judges just see what they want to see, and ignore what actually happens on the footy field.
Its akin to the bias that we see from the refs who favour certain teams, over others.

You & Munster are so on the money.
They will have the last laugh after they win the comp.
