So how are we shaping up for week one?

    Teddy
    Toops
    Keighran
    Bmoz
    Ikuvalu
    Hutch
    Lam
    JWH
    Verrills
    SST
    Angus
    Sitili
    RadleyyyyYYY!!

    Liu
    Egan
    Baker/Tupac
    Walker

That forward pack is still awesome; even without Cords, Jake, Lindsay and Nat. Yikes.

The return of the Inflictor is enormous. Does Robbo insert Sammy Walker back into the starting line up?

That team pastes 8th in wk 1 and from there you just have to believeeee. 41-1. I've seen bigger roughies come through.

If we win it from here they'll make a movie on this Premiership run. Russell Crowe can play V'landys and Chris and Liam Hemsworth can be Teddy & Rads.

I'd say there is a very good chance of it happening .
Penrith will be without Burton and Capewell next year , and believe me, Burton is their go to player.
He looked great for them in tonight's Parra game - showed his acceleration to get into space off a Kikau pass, and he has size, speed, that incredible step , and he has a beautiful pass in him as well.
He is the best player for the Riff this year - and they are absolutely nuts for letting him go in 2022. Forget Cleary, this guy is what makes them tick. Kikau this year, has forgotten how to run.
For the Storm , Pappy seems to be down on confidence and is not the player he was, since being knocked out in the Saints game. Finucane & Addo Carr are leaving them too. The Bromwich brothers are another year older. The Storm are going to be in a decline after 2021.
With the Roosters on the way up, the 2022 premiership is ours to go after.

Hahaha please stop. Nathan Cleary is the heart and soul of that team, they are lost without him.

For you to say forget Cleary, burton is the one that makes them tick is kinda absurd to be honest.

Yes , Nathan Cleary is the heart and soul of that team, they are lost without him.
That's your opinion on Cleary the poster - boy.
I went to last year's grand final - the Riff were completely lost WITH Cleary calling the shots, in case you've forgotten.
I would have given him a rating of 1 out of 10 for that effort..
He was completely clueless in that game, and I've seen Penrith THIS YEAR in a couple of games where they are up against good defence, and they are cannot work out how to get the ball over the stripe.
The guy who can do that, with his brilliance, and get points on the board, is Burton.
Burton is a game changer - you can see it in the way he moves , he can shred defences in an instant.
He is the key between the side becoming entirely frustrated ,(like they did in October last year) and getting points on the board, and momentum.
That's why I say Burton is what makes the Riff tick.
I will reserve judgment on Cleary for the next couple of seasons, and hopefully when he doesn't have brilliant players around him in every position, he can show us what he is made of.
If Penrith can manage to win 20+ regular games in the season consistently when Cleary is there , and they have lost a few of the current squad, I will applaud him.
But until he can do it , when the chips are down, what he does means nothing.
At present , maybe you listen too much to the media drivel about how wonderful Cleary is - maybe you are blindsided about how important his kicking game is.
If he has such a great kicking game, maybe he is better suited to AFL?
Then again, you could put up the argument that Cleary was heart and soul of our Origin team , but I'll disagree with you and say it was Turbo, Latrell & Teddy who won it for us
Happy to hear some in - depth comments from you on why Cleary is so fantastic , and how he is " heart and soul" of this team.
Or do you just follow what the idiots in the media say, not question anything they say, believe them, without really opening your eyes when you watch a football game.?
Sound like you are riding a cliche - he's the "heart and soul" of the team , without any real facts, or arguments as to why that's the case.
If you haven't got a comeback to what I have said, maybe you are the absurd one, not me.
Happy to hear your comments - I've put my ones out here.

We could still meet the redfern scum if things fall into place, like a preliminary final if they beat penrith and we finish 5th as expected and win & win or if they lose to penrith and they keep winning after that and we do likewise on the other side and it could be...The Grand Final! Could It be?

Are you actually questioning Cleary's footballing ability lol?

This guy is going to pass Joey Johns and Thurston in a few years... he is a top 2 player in the league without a doubt, definition of a million dollar player.

He has the ability to do everything on the footy field, best kicking game in the comp, really solid defender, High IQ, Elite goalkicker, great running game and more...

There's no debating whether Nathan Cleary is a gun footballer I'm sorry to say it.

You can't be serious with this lmao Burton played all of 5 games in 2020 where they lost 1 and drew another, you're taking the piss naming this guy as the bloke who makes Penrith tick. Every loss Penrith have had this season came with Burton at 5/8 and without Cleary in the team

The comment about Penrith winning 20+ consistently when Cleary is there is beyond dumb, the guy has not lost a game of football at all in 2021 including origin lol he's been injured throughout the year and when he's played Penrith have gone 15/15 so far this year and last year went 17/18 in the regular season and 19/21 overall with Cleary that's 34/36 in the last 18 months

Can Cleary do it when the chips are down lol did you miss him tear us a new one in the finals last year? Or the Souths game a few weeks back? Or the Brisbane game earlier in the year?

This has to be a troll post

the more i think of it i'd like us to finish 4th - would be an incredible achievement to make the top 4 with half our team out but i think des will go for the certainty of playing beyond week one

I think the only way we’d beat Melbourne or Penrith is after a few weeks running the same team. If we can somehow keep the same side for the remainder of our games (we’re due some luck) then perhaps some defensive combinations can form. With a little more luck Melbourne or Penrith could lose a key player to injury before we’d have to play them.

I’d feel confident against Manly at our current full strength. I think they can be exposed if you shut down Turbo and really pressure DCE. Their forwards have mistakes in them.

I expect a full strength Melbourne to win in week 1 regardless of who they play. Which means regardless of whether it’s us or Manly that finish 4th we’ll play each other in week 2 anyway. Personally I’d rather play Manly after facing the Titans/Sharks than after a game against Melbourne.

In the end you have to beat everyone to win the comp. I just think our best chance at beating those top sides is after a couple of weeks of consistent footy having built a few key combinations.

Very true, I just think winning and keeping a fit squad into the finals, and if the top sides have injuries and suspensions we could capitalise.
A first up Melbourne referee love in is not what I want.
