I think he commands 700-800k on the open market.

      Too much for us.
He's under contract until 2024 at Broncos?
2025 season we could afford him?

I think he is better than taumalolo and Jake turbo and they are on 1million and 900k respectively.
Jake Turbo is overpaid if that's true and Taumalolo was better at the same age than Haas is. Haas still has a lot of defensive issues, whether they are because of structure, lack of development or lack of mobility is yet to be concluded but he leaks a lot of tries near his own line.

7-800k isn't too much for the right club. If I was the Bulldogs, Knights, Tigers, Sharks etc I would happily pay that and make him my marquee player and forward leader.

For us though it's too much, we don't have to pay market price to develop a great forward pack Robbo has already shown that and I would back him to do the same again with the talent he has coming through. This allows us to reallocate more of our cap into retaining start players like Manu, Walker and Suaali when they are all due upgrades.

Maybe, the desperate clubs would probably offer him 7 figures but is he going to leave the Broncos to join a club like the Tigers? Seems like a step sideways for him. If it's purely money motivated then you might be right but if he takes SBWs advice I'm sure he'll be looking for a club who can provide a high performance environment & culture.

            Yep that makes more sense.

the turbos were a 2mil package deal, so they probably overpaid Jake to keep tommy.

Haas will be the dominant big man in the game for the next 5 years his athleticism sets him apart from other front rowers, unbelievable agility, leg speed and stamina for a man that size backed with a sense of anticipation in defence to make try saving tackles. I'd love to see him replace Jared when the great man pulls up stumps.
