So... an assault was committed because 1 person physically struck another. It doesn't matter what she did... if he physically struck her then he has committed assault/battery.

I think forensics quite clearly show that a woman was punched, and will probably link the punch to Jake Friend's fist, if that is the case, then legally it is an assault. Sorry, but that's the definition... if you accidentally walk into a guy, push him over and he falls to his death down a bottomless pit then you still assaulted him. It will be up to the lawyers/police to argue over how serious this particular assault was. I just thought I'd clear up that definition... assault is making contact with somebody, or threatening to do so... if you tell your mate in jest "haha **** off you ****, I'll smash you if you do that again..." and he's threatened then it's assault... sure, it'll go nowhere in court, I just thought I'd make it clear that we're dealing with an assault in this situation. Somebody was punched! Who, what, when, where, how, why...etc? The legal guru's will decide, however it's quite clear that a woman was assaulted by definition.

Actually the fact that 2 big blokes were fighting in a club is committing an assault towards those around them by definition because it's behaving in a threatening manner, and putting people in fear! WTF were 2 Roosters having a fight? That's the question we need to be asking!!!! WTF were they fighting!!!! Not "Why did she interfere?"

These are guys on 6 figure salaries who are idols within the community. They should know better than to fight in public! The fact that a girl got hurt just makes the situation worse...

My hope!! My BIG hope is that it was all Nick Bradley's fault! That HE threatened Friend or something... then Earl jumped in and tried to rip Bradley off Friend... then Bradley's sister jumped into that brawl and was accidentally punched...

Then they're probably off pretty well scott-free. Still shouldn't have been fighting, but means Earl wasn't really fighting (was acting in defence of Friend) and Friend was also acting in self defence as Bradley attacked him... and the sister... well she just got in the way, and the guys had no intention of harming her... still, she was assaulted and felt scared... and 3 big guys shouldn't have done that to her! Nick Bradley needs more of a mention in this one rather than some innocent little angel I think. What was Nick Bradley doing? I think it's far more likely he was arguing with Friend and did some dodgy stuff...

I thought we were taliking about Friend and Earl.....because niether of these kids are on anything that resembles a 6 figure income....and most people would be hard pressed to know who either of them were if they passed them in the street, so you idol theory just went out the window also...

I will stay out of these discussions, but from bitter experience my counsel to you all is keep your powder dry until you know the facts. Let me assure you that you won't know what happened until it's either in court (well, sort of) or you get to speak to someone who was involved.

Until then, I don't see the point in jumping to conclusions and turning your guns on each other.

Well I dont hear you calling for all the Queensland SOO players to be sacked.They are at the elite level of their sport and earnt the privilege to represent their whole state,yet they all went out on the piss after game 2 this year until sunrise.They too are not abiding by YOUR rules,so why your silence here? I couldnt give a shite if QLD went out , I only care for this club and the image of it being tarnished again.

I would have thought for a club coming last and with their coach in the international news for being blind 36 hours before a game some common sense would take place and the players would stay in and keep put of trouble - whether it be their fault or not.

They arent my rules I love a bender as much as anyone but me going out doesnt put my club on the front page again for all the wrong reasons.
