As soon as his name came up as a possible option in the centre’s many on here were sceptical due his injury history, which has now been justified..

Rotten situation but IMO this was not 'inevitable'. It's just a rotten situation for everybody.

Yep and by that measure he's done a good job IMO. He's filled a gap that we've had, allowing us to keep everybody in their right positions during the few weeks before finals. Another week or 2 outta him woulda been nice but what can you do?

Nothing personal against the guy and I hope he recovers well and considers getting a real job.

I feel you. It’s not the game it was. If not for my dedication to our club there’s no way I’d be watching. Footy use to be so much better. All athletes these days and very few actual footballers. And the game’s gone way too soft. Jarred’s sin binning, Angus’ suspension, Radley.
Through the 90s to the early 2000s I went from a teenager to a mid twenties age, and loved the game, thought it was as good as it could get, maybe everyone around that age, regardless of the decade, thought the same.
I wonder how many will look at these past few years and think the same?

Some players are just unlucky with injury.
Realistically a player has the potential to get injured each time there is a collision with another player.
Only a very small percentage have a career with very few injuries. Many only play a handful of games and retire due to their body not being able to cope with any more injuries. That's the nature of the game.
Copley showed a lot of ticker to play 78 minutes with a broken foot. You could see he was struggling but he toughed it out for his teammates. I respect that. It's a shame as he looked pretty good in his short stint.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
