In souths recent run of 10 wins the only top 8 sides they beat were Parra twice and the knights. They’re downhill skiers. Not expecting this game to the blow out most of you seem to think it will be.

Chook have to do the basics right for 80 minutes

• High set completion rate
• Low Error count - missed tackles / low set restarts and penalties conceded
• Defence line speed - straight line of defence and cut down their time and space
• Good long and short kicking game

The thing that kills Chook in games is set completion rates - currently equal last in this area.

When set completions are low their game unravels - errors and missed tackles mount and discipline goes out the window.

If they do the basics well for as close to 80 minutes as possible then Rabbit has to beat Chook not Chook beating Chook.

The farcical long suspensions of Crichton and Rads only make the contest even more lopsided.

The NRL needs to take some responsibility here. When a team has an injury crisis the last thing you need is key players on undeserved and egregious long bans.

It's bad for the fans and the game.

Name me another sport that so wilfully and gleefully suspends it's star players for large chunks of the season.

In my opinion, this is the Grand Final match for us... the thought of beating souths with this team (no disrespect to the boys) after last year's horror story is mouth-watering (can't imagine Bennetts post-match speech)... but unfortunately, the two things that we could have used to help us win are now gone, 1. the thought of a "fair" (or remotely fair) penalty count, now that Bennett has had a winge I am sure the NRL will make it up to him. and 2. Josh Mansour... Must I say anymore. Also, I think for us to win we have to expose their lack of ability to play out of their own half as stated by Cronk on fox. Drew has to match or get close to Cleary's kicking game for us to have a chance. Although Reynolds always seems to become prime Andrew Johns against us...

Souths backline will be far too good for us we will probably match them in the forwards but Latrell and co will cut us to bits out wide its not a fair fight unfortunately its the featherweights up against the heavyweights in the backs at least .Be interesting to see what robbo has up his sleeve to try and contain them.
