What a genuinely incredible team. 11 players out to start the game, and lose two more during it, as well. Not to mention just about every other one of our players is carrying injuries, too.
A couple of really horrendous calls go against us, while being down to two players on the bench and we still thrash these guys.

Imagine what score we'd put on these jokers with a full roster available?

Super impressed with the usual suspects like Jared, Teddy etc. No surprises there. But again E. Butcher looks a million bucks, and Baker was fantastic too.

I wasn't keen on Walker off the bench, but that ended up playing out perfectly.

Also a special shoutout to Hutchison. He was great today.

Another brave effort from us when we have been crippled with injuries. I really liked the work of the young blokes off the bench and that was the first real look I've seen of Thomas and he went well along with Baker and Egan was terrific.
SST was really energetic and got through a mountain of work and Liu continued his fantastic form over the last month and I thought we looked far better when he went to the left edge and swapped sitilli back to his favoured right side.
Toops came up with some class finishes on top of the good work of our halves and Teddy's brilliance led the way with best on field for mine.

Yes this is why I’ve been very excited all week Ism. It’s a beautiful liveable city and called the Garden City. Warwick where I grew up one town across is the Rose City. Both sets of grandparents settled there when they came on a boat from Lebanon in the 1920’s and most of my aunties are still alive even though they are all in their 90’s now as they breed them tough up in Toowoomba. One of them is 99 years old and will be 100 in January but she actually lives down here now in Campsie across the road from Belmore Sports Ground with my Vermin loving cousin. My parents met in Toowoomba as children and Dad went to the same school where Jonathan Thurston chose to go to as they have a very good rugby league program there. As my family were Parra fans they hold no love for St George (1977 grand final replay anyone?) so I’ve been having a good cry ever since Toups scored as I knew we’d be fine after that. Wonder if my school mate was there as he is a Dragons fan and ironically nicknamed Chook as his surname is HENderson. He was one of Mum’s nurses and when I went home for the last time he said are you still following those slimy Eels? Mum piped up and said no she’s gone all posh on us and moved to Rose Bay and follows the Roosters now..I just said Chook are you still following those stinkin’ Dragons? Lots of rugby league history in Toowoomba with the Duncan Thompson stand as Vossy mentioned also being down here at North Sydney Oval.

I’m off now for a really long walk after that as the smoke from the hazard burning has cleared over the harbour.

I hope everyone has a beautiful happy week. I love you all, even the grumpy ones on here who love to bait me.

They showed a lot of character today. Down on troops and players out of position all over the shop, that twenty minute period after the Dragons hit the lead was some of the best we've looked all year.

Great game from Sammy V today. I was also impressed with Jarred's yoga exhibition.

Liu has been a beast the last 2 weeks.

JWH, SST, Toops all strong games.

Teddy had an absolute day out.

Nat Butcher is going to be a real loss, he's had to fill in a lot of positions this year for us.

When Nat Butcher was missing earlier in the year the defense really suffered.

Gutsy win by the lads. I'll be honest I thought we were gone when the Dragons hit the lead, with the walking wounded and short bench. Apart from Ted the obvious, I thought Hutch, Verrils, Liu and Toups dragged us back into the game. Verrils first 80 minutes this year I think, and possibly Hutchs best game. Good work from the bit part boys!

I just love this team & the resistance that is on display. Teddy just a beast along with Tupou & a special mention to Walker as well but having said that we'll have to improve to beat the Vermin next week but overall good victory.

Exactly. On a positive though, they will more than likely rest players considering they should finish 3rd no matter what. Nothing to gain but plenty to lose for them.

Hahaha I'll have to visit post-COVID some time. Amazing story there about your aunties... cheering them on for the big 100!

Never been there but I figure domestic travel will open up before domestic travel (I'm fully vaccinated so will feel more confident about moving around once the time is right).

Will make sure I get some tips from you when it all happens
