he is the old school genuine utility, with verrills injury bad luck, suspensions and all other injuries, he can play from hooker to fullback.

lam, lussick, hutch, keighran might all be nervous about being moved on, or being stuck in norths.

Also not sure how I feel about this.

Not saying he's a bad player, not sure how he fits in.

One of Lam, Keighran and Lussick would have to be moving on?

I like this signing as to my way of thinking Connor is an ideal 14 and although everyone likes to start it's a real specialist position that some players make their own.
By all reports he really wanted to come back to play under Robbo again which is what you want at the club not someone coming for the highest cheque.

I think verrills might go back to the bench, and Watson starts at hooker. You would think Watson would of been good enough to get a starting spot at another club, wonder if Robbo has guaranteed him something in their talk.

News Ltd headline: "Chooks steal Connor Watson". I can't recall if the Knights stole him from us or if he just signed a contract with them. Perhaps we'll never know.

I think the top clubs recruit not just good players but someone who will fit-into the culture. This is Connor Watson, with all the injuries and suspension in the game you now need a strong 20-25 squad, instead of just 17-18.

Great signing at 25 he is coming into his prime can play 9,61, and 13 and with Rads suspended every other week. I'm surprised that he choose us surely he was offered much more elsewhere

I suppose he takes over from Keighran/Lam as the bench utility? Bit of an odd signing for me, but he's a good player.
He is one of those players with an X factor and with a little more room to move ,with Keary and Teddy playing along side of him he will make more room for them as they will for him

What does this mean for the cheese ! Maybe we get Watson as our 2nd best option ! DONT KNOW!+ less money than cheese

He would have to be a hooker , 5/8 !

The pack is staked staked middle forwards

We only lack class at hooker an a just as good 5/8 to keary!

I believe we have 4 goal kickers in teddy, smith, suallii and TKO

                      Team looking good !

I’m happy he is back and a smart career move for Connor.
Still young but with experience. I’ve always liked his enthusiasm
mobility and speed. His speed will be appreciated as most of our forwards are not speedsters.

Career high try assists and linebreak assists all from lock forward, averaging just under 90m per game and 3 tackle busts per game. Dynamic runner with some creativity around the middle of the field.

This is a very astute bit of business from Robbo. He provides genuine cover if Radley isn't there and now gives us a genuine rotational option so we don't lose a anything when Radley goes off for a break.

On top of that he negates the need to carry a utility on the bench as he can cover so many other positions in the backline so all of a sudden you've got your 3rd middle and utility player on the bench all covered in one.

Allows Robinson to possible carry a 2nd rower on the bench?

I'm getting aroused by the thought of Watson linking up with Walker, Keary and Teddy.

We are gonna be a real threat next year when fully healthy

                              Outstanding signing !!

                              Can cover numerous positions

                              Different league to Keighran,Lussick,Lam,Hutch etc

Pumped by this signing big time

I think he left us a bit raw but has done his apprenticeship at the Knights and is a much better player. Also appears to have bulked up. A great signing for how the game is being played now.
