I think he will be used like Grant and Smith at the Storm and fill in for Radley when he’s rested .

Very good news. Was not pleased when he left.
Thought it was a massive mistake to let him go so very happy he is coming back.

Haha...don't we normally 'poach' players? Now we're stealing them, sounds almost illegal.

Watsons versatility & spark is exactly what the team needs.

Watson is a professional. He will be the fittest in the club-no one prepares and trains harder. Added to that he is a great role model off the field....he will fit in perfectly

I think that he will be a walk up start at 14.

I think that Lam will either be kept as backup in the halves or moved on - with Hutch and Keighran as back up already it may be the latter.

I don't think Keighran is a serious contender for 14. His defence is not up to the middle.

I think the position he plays will be Mitch Aubusson

Mate of mine coached a young Connor Watson years ago and said he could play most positions in the back line. When pressed as to what he thought would be his best position, he straight up said hooker.

Exactly. Limiting the minutes for Verrills and Radley so they can play at a higher intensity. It also means we are no longer in the race for the Cheese.

Great signing - Depth and will put some pressure on Verrils and Keighran

It seems odd that he would come here for anything other than to be playing consistent first grade, so I wonder where exactly into the team he slots? I suppose he takes over from Keighran/Lam as the bench utility? Bit of an odd signing for me, but he's a good player.
Keighran has moved into the starting side permanently.

If we were we probably still are. It's a big "IF". Cheese would be at the expense of Verrills.

I worry he's not big enough.

Verrills is only 22 and has been signed up to end of 2024. He has a lot of improvement in him and it would be an expensive divorce. I can't see it but who knows...

Has a 95% tackle completion rate and is a great ball runner.

He's perfectly suited for these touch footy rules
