Should tell the judiciary the NRL is biased for citing our players...and cry out
    "INJUSTICE"!
I must say I thought Grant Atkins was very fair to us tonight and hopefully some of those indiscretions won't be too harshly judged by the judiciary.

    • I'll throw some love SST's way, a shorter stint but I thought he played well when Jared was off

That was possibly the most untouched game by the refs this year, 20 mins before the first 6again.

Made for a watchable game imo.

Storm always only invest in their spine then build around that. They never over-pay for outside backs.

There’s probably very similar parallels between them having to let Folau & Inglis go and us having Latrell & Joey Manu.

Robison does play a very different brand of footy though so the question has got to be how much can you get out of Manu as a centre/winger. Can he really play a 2nd fullback role?

We offered Latrell 800k, I’m sure the same could be offered for Manu, not many players could fill so many positions, and play them all at the highest level.

              • Awesome win by the team, built by defence and patience in attack.

The Storm would never let a player like that go. They’d evolve him to new positions. He could be anything, and he’s ours.

                  • Egan Butcher going to have a massive future. Everytime he run it's either bending the line or close to line break

2 BUT there have been tributes to RTS this week and they have been showing footage of the 2013 GF and after the game where the players go around with the trophy and in one of scenes when RTS is holding the trophy with the fans in the background, I think one of those fans with a Roosters jersey is Joey. It could be because Joey started playing SG Ball in 2014 so maybe the Roosters brought him up for the 2013 GF...therefore he was in the 2013 GF.

Crazy how Robinson just continues to bring these guys through the grades and has them hitting them the ground running as soon as they enter first grade. Butcher was giving it to Nathan Brown on both sides of the ball, what 5 games into his first grade career?

Having watched a lot of our junior grade and reserve grade teams over the years I remember watching players like Lama Tasi, Mose Mason, Kane Evans & Tinirau Arona just absolutely dominating those grades thinking these guys would go on to be great forwards for us only for them to get into First Grade and struggle every time the blow torch was applied on them.

Now I watch our reserve grade sides and see players like Egan Buthcer and Fletcher Baker and think yeh they’re going good but not really dominating at this level which makes you wonder how they transition to First Grade but when they do it’s so clear that Robinson and his coaching team have invested so much into their fundamentals and building a strong base that they just hit the ground running every time and they’re ready for whatever comes at them.

I would’ve loved to have seen someone like Tom Symonds coming through under Robinson.

Got put on his back way too often, compare that to Nat Butcher and Egan Butcher who continually found their fronts and got quick play the balls off. It’s just such a killer in the modern day game, may only be a second longer but just allows the defensive line to get back and set good line speed and allows the markers to get set.

I thought he had a real mixed night, some good runs where he was able to push a defender off, find his front and get a good play the ball and the other half of his runs where he was getting pushed back or dominated in the tackle and really slowing down the tempo of the set.

I thought some of his runs showed real promise though, good power and leg drive just seemed to be off with his timing which to be fair he hasn’t had a good consistent run in first grade really this year so hopefully can build some form heading into the finals.
