The referees pandering to Souffs, and nit picking at us - as undeniable in the stats - is just a symptom of these stereotypes and Australia's fetish for mediocrity over self made successful people.

Some of it is subconscious. But sometimes, i.e. Cummins and the MRC, it's a little more conscious.
I'm sympathetic to battlers too. That doesn't mean I throw 20s and 50s at the meth and heroin heads in their rabbitohs hoodies sitting behind their cardboard signs at Pacific Square all day. I once offered to buy one a meal and he told me to get fcuked.

A friend of mine who works for Randwick council is today doing a 10.30-11.00 and 5.00-5.30 shift, going in to raise and lower the flag at the museum he works at (which is closed due to Covid).

I presume this was once industrially illegal, but was signed off by some stooge on behalf of all future casual employees under the banner of "enterprise bargaining".

It's a pity the Labour Party is too busy these days being woke to give a sh.it about this kind of arse buggery of workers - it used to be a reason I'd vote for them.

Oh did I mention he's a white, middle aged male?
