Joey has been dusted by Olam the last few times they have met, the guy is made out of concrete and is a nightmare to contend with.
Our right edge defence is a major fault and needs to be addressed if we are going to compete against the better sides.
Walker is a massive target through his lack of size and it isn't sitilli or Joey's strong suit.

Aren't the Storm holding out for a player trade for Brandon Smith?

I'd swap Manu for Smith in a heartbeat. You'd get so much more value on a week to week basis.

I love Joey but to me, he looks lazy and disinterested at the moment. I just don’t see any spark.

Our problems in defence stem from much more then just Manu, Sitili is no better, for a 80 minute display he put in 3 runs for 27 meters on top of his 27 tackles (4missed) totally unacceptable he’s lazy doesn’t come in to help out taking the tough carries (Miss you Aubo) our middle since the departure of Jake and suspension of Rads is wafer thin JWH, Liu, SST, Chrichton, Toops, Verrills and Teddy are the only ones that can hold their heads high.

We have no impact from our bench collectively probably didn’t even make 50 meters between them.

If Nat Butcher is fit put him in at second row Sitili to bench or North’s I don’t really care, Manu I don’t know what you do this guy, his defensive issues stem from before Sam Walker was next to him he never had these issues with Cronk. Suaalli for a 17 yr old defends so much better reverse the roles? I would like to see B.Smith in this role Manu can be a game breaker all be it against weaker opponents he gets eaten alive against Storm, Penrith.

Sam Walker obvious issue his boot and his defence needs to get jacked in the off season he’s a massive target in defence especially with Manu and Sitili either side all three of them are lost at sea.

Radley stay on the ****ing field we can’t afford having you off it.

Lam read all previous threads. Time is up. Hutch straight in at least he can boot the ball and stiffen up the defence.

That's when he's played his best this season.
Gus can play at 4, not big enough for a forward, Finucane just dragged him and others over the line.
We should've signed Lodge, other clubs saw his value and what's required for the future.
            You seriously have no clue.

Manu has shown great defence in the past, 2018 prelim comes to mind. Before he had Crichton and BMoz on his side and now he’s got Sitili and Ikuvalu who with all due respect aren’t as good in defence as the other two. Probably isn’t helping.

Didn't we have another center that used to do that

Tbh he didn’t do it all that often. Defence is about attitude and that has been the issue with Manu for a long time. He managed to get up for the big games but only really seems to get up for about one game a month for most of his career.

Manu to hookers with Thirteen & we'll see how he go's after that.
Fire him up Thirteen when youse are having your foursome.

Manu plays better at fullback now - better off putting Teddy at 6 for the rest of this year - he plays mostly 6 anyway

Manu has all the physical ability needed to excell in the game, but he clocks off when it gets tough. He is lazy in defence. Big problem when we are missing players who normally cover a lot of defence.

Manu is a centre. The defensive issues are more positional and structural than individual. Our players are not operating as a team as much as they do and what we expect of them.
Manu is no #6, he only looks good because no one knows what he is going to do, once he is figured out that will stoip. He goes well at #1 but don't get sucked into the Latrell syndrome.

There is no swapping of positions, players just need to start buying back into out structures.

I honestly believe its fatigue more than anything that has us in this state. Alot of players have had to stand up and do more than they would have normally done at this stage in their career and its showing its toll.
                          The team will come back,
