  • Manus Defence?

Or lack there of it, it has always been suspect but gee whiz the top 4 sides have found him out and crucified him this season, with no Radley to shore up that side his constant rushing out of the line, clutching at thin air and leaving Ikavalu and poor Sualli psted like shags on a rock. Sidescvery rarely score through our leftcedge with Morris and Toops.

He is close to reaching Gidley as one of the greatest turnstyles in NRL history, last nights game was definitely not a one off

He should be playing 6, 7, or 1.
That's when he's played his best this season.
Gus can play at 4, not big enough for a forward, Finucane just dragged him and others over the line.
We should've signed Lodge, other clubs saw his value and what's required for the future.

Our right side defence is pathetic.

Manu, Walker, Sitili etc. are very ordinary defenders. More leaks than the Titanic.

His defence is that Robbo should have left him at 6, Suaalii at 4 and Ikavalu on the wing. Would it have helped much? Maybe cause JS and Iku are better defenders. As for Hutch well he can be 14 and no more Lam.

Walker is a skinny 18 yr old rookie.
Not much muscle and not very strong legs.
He cannot be expected to tackle huge forwards, huge halves, and huge backs...and be a long and high bomb kicker.
Expecting him to be, now, is a flawed policy.
Suaalii is a 17 yr old rookie.

                  Putrid.

But he did have plenty to worry about with Walker on one side and Suualii on the other.

I don’t mean to be unkind, but seriously mate, you say some unbelievably stupid things.

Angus has been universally acknowledged as one of the form second rowers in the comp all year. Do you drop him from the SOO pack too?

Gus not big enough for a forward seriously you are watching the wrong player.....and Gus at 4 with his lacknof speed for a centre would get shown up badly. But hey, lets moved our NSW forward who made the most metres in the team coming off the bench to out in the centres, makes sense

Manu seems to only have a crack these days when playing 6 or 1 and seems to be kicking stones when he's back in the centres.

                            It definitely isn’t.

It’s Tupouniua and he’s been there pretty much all season from memory except for the game he missed due to suspension.

Have the halves either defend on the wing or one in from the wing instead of 2 in.

Not sure why they defend 2 in and not 1 in or on the wing - wingers can still drop back for the kicks - general play or attacking one - if teams run the ball on the last the side line can be the extra defender with the sliding defence

It would be like the following with Tedesco second line of defence - Liu may start with SST on the bench - other benchies - Butcher/Baker and Keighran or Marschke

Lam Toops J Morris Crichton SST Verrils JWH Radley Sitili Manu Suaalli Walker

                              or

Toops Lam J Morris Crichton SST Verrils JWH Radley Sitili Manu Walker Suaalli
