I woukd have have no problem with it as the costs of putting on the dead rubber possibly without fans in the stands would be a total waste. It would also protect players involved as well. I would rather not risk injuries or suspensions to our two boys and start looking towards the back end of the season.

Usually a dead rubber still holds massive interest to avoid a whitewash but in the current climate, I think a series win is all that should matter this time round.

And if that does happen, NSW should host at least 2, if not the first 2 games next year.

              Thoughts?
A dead rubber should be cancelled.

Origin is the golden goose to the nrl. They’re already crying poor before a game has been affected due to the COVID restrictions. They’ll milk this cow for all it’s got.

I have no probs with JAC being there. It’s To’o ahead of Toups that had me disappointed but To’o has since
                    proven his worth.

Less roosters in Origin = better for us.

My mum's currently stuck in Canberra because she went to visit her hippie brother's self-sufficient farm for a few weeks before the exposures happened. On her way home (to Paddington) she came to visit us and then Sydney got locked down.

Meh. She's fully vaccinated and was on a hippie farm before the period in question so she hasn't broken any rules. We've had a couple of dirty looks and stuff but whatevz.

Now Canberra's mandated indoor masks so there's a fukking bum rush to the shops to hoard TP and masks. I was at Bunnings getting a hinge that stays up to (finally) upgrade one of our upwards-opening kitchen cabinets when the announcement happened. A massive hoard suddenly rushed in (no social distancing), grabbed as many masks as possible and the pushed into the queue. I had to push through the crowd and be like 'can I just buy this farking hinge?!?'

Afterwards I went to my local (smallish) supermarket to grab some beers for the footy. Same thing happened!!! 'OMG YOU STILL HAVE TOILET PAPER?!?!? I WILL TAKE THE REST!!!' All while I was (quietly - like before) thinking 'faaaark me... can you all get stuffed and let me buy my farking beers and snacks for the footy?!?!? I have TP and a washable mask already!!! Quit hoarding shyte you don't need!!!'

I went out for a walk on Friday at 4pm as soon as I logged out from the work computer and I messaged Horrie Hastings on my way back at 4.50pm as I couldn't get back across my small cross street as the Coles carpark 3 doors up was jammed full of Range Rovers going in and out. I'd already had the foresight to do online orders with both Harris Farm and Woolies on Wednesday when they do the specials price change over and had everything delivered early Friday morning before the lockdowns were announced.

I hope you get some quality time with your Mum Ism and that you will all be ok. My nieces and nephew were coming from Melbourne for a memorial services for their grandmother at Rosehill as she passed a year ago and in the Lebanese church, they make us all go to Mass again a year later. But that's all been cancelled too so again, no seeing any family for me.

As for Origin, as long as no Roosters players are harmed in the making of this series, that is all I care about.

Eden was never on the coast. It was a garden like Cockington Green! You can keep your Sydney siders and covid to yourself.
