  • What are the chances...

Not sure it’s been discussed but if NSW win the series tonight coukd game 3 be cancelled?

I woukd have have no problem with it as the costs of putting on the dead rubber possibly without fans in the stands would be a total waste. It would also protect players involved as well. I would rather not risk injuries or suspensions to our two boys and start looking towards the back end of the season.

Usually a dead rubber still holds massive interest to avoid a whitewash but in the current climate, I think a series win is all that should matter this time round.

And if that does happen, NSW should host at least 2, if not the first 2 games next year.

    Thoughts?

The NRL stands to make big money from SOO3 - Queensland would offer big bucks to host it - but only if the underdogs get up tonight. Could be a good bet with juicy odds tonight. All Sutton has to do is let the Queenslanders slow everything down and maybe send a NSW player to the bin.

Crichton and Tedesco would be on the first and second lines of betting for that to happen, with daylight to the next player.

The last time you posted that Broncos were $12.00 to beat us.

There’s talk that a game 3 could be moved to Newcastle. Wouldn’t a safer and better option be Canberra? Weren’t they in the running for game 1 as well?

Yes, I’m in Canberra and yes, I’m biassed. If it goes ahead, bring the bloody game to the safest place in the country. Phark Newcastle!

IMO they should. No point hosting a dead rubber in NSW...

We've already won 1 game in QLD. If we win a 2nd in QLD then bin the 3rd and play all 3 in NSW next year. Bin the Melbourne game permanently as it's QLD territory (just means QLD always gets 2 home games, even if it's 'our year').

No chance. Relocated at worst. Melbourne may be their thought. Or maybe all 3 in QLD and NSW win 3-0
