    21 MAN SQUAD v PANTHERS

Big game, bigger test. Penrith losing 2 on the trot - just, a very indifferent performance by us last week. Who rights their ship this week? I'd be more comfortable if this was at the SCG, but .... bring it on, let's see what
we've got against one of this years heavyweights.

Keighran starts again, Verrills at 14, Smith on the extended bench.

    ROOSTERS
    1. Tedesco
    2. Tupou
    3. Morris
    4. Manu
    5. Ikuvalu
    6. Lam
    7. Walker
    8. JWH
    9. Keighran
    10. SST
    11. Chrichton
    12. Tupouniua
    13. Liu

    INTERCHANGE:
    14. Verrills
    15. Butcher E
    16. Suluka-Fifita
    17. Baker

    RESERVES:
    18. Hau Tapuha
    19. Thomas
    20. Smith
    21. Suaalii

Both teams have weak benches... Gonna need our big boys up front to play big minutes this friday.

I can't believe Suaalii is still considered as a reserve.

I'm wondering if that's why SST got a rest last week. His turn for 80 minutes maybe?

Kikau out for them is a big loss, we will definetly test them this week!

            Who do you drop?
He had some defensive lapses last week which won't help against the Panthers.
Still a lot to learn but he will get his opportunity soon enough.
It will be interesting to see whether Robbo gives Smith some NRL time too ahead of JS during the year.

Yes Penrith have shown in their last 2 games that they have no depth. They are just lucky that they also have so few injuries.

Our bench is piss weak. Isaac needs to be playing 80 minutes. I can’t work out why he never does. Big minutes once again for Jarred and SST.

For sure Mate. He’s always good for a try or two against us. A bit of a relief for Walker.

i think our bench is alright - not sure about young butch yet but the others show great potential and it's great to see sammy v back.

                  should be a great game

I think that you could blame a few others about having defensive lapses. Only one try went past him and that was on his inside shoulder where Keighran was closer to Kelly who scored. The rest were tries through the middle and on the left...For a17 yo, JS has a very good tackling technique and a weapon in attack...I would prefer to have JS at 4 and Manu at 6.

Penrith have Leniu and May as reserves...these guys usually get a game so I'm surprised they are listed as reserves. I'm thinking Cleary will bring these guys on.

Yes mate it’s a massive relief..

With a week off following this game I feel the boys will go all out to upset the Panthers, I’m even expecting SST,Jared or Isaac playing the whole 80..

We will make a statement this week!

I think 90% of the chookpeners have said they would like to see Manu at 5/8 and that would open up an opportunity for JS to have a regular spot.
But it looks like Robbo hasn't had a chance to read the chookpen this week with all that's happened with Cords.
If Manu stays at centre, which looks like Robbo isn't going to change, then the only spot for JS is Ikavalu's which I can't see happening either barring any injuries.
But as we get closer to the semis and JS gets more experience who knows what Robbo has in mind.

tuesday team often doesn't run out on the weekend.
suaalii's a very good defender. it's a choice between manu at 5/8 with suaalii at centre v lam at 5/8 with manu at centre. it's close but i'd go with the former
