I am glad that there is just one Rooster in the squad. On merit I believe that Toups should be included, but I go for Easts. I go for any team playing Melbourne or Souths, more than I do for NSW. SOO is well past its boom days. I know that many here could present a valid and convincing argument that shows that SOO is imperative for the game. I don't think that it is. Easts are my heart and soul and family. SOO origin is just a great night out on the town, boozing, brawling and boasting. Go Easts!

Problem is that freddy is often swayed by the media and whom he should choose. Last year it was Walker over Keary after the first game even though Walker had already failed in the previous year but some in the media, including Johns, were saying Walker should be 5/8...where was Walker in the final game? Where hes always at, missing. This year many have said that even though Wighton isn't playing well, as the incumbent he shouldn't miss this first game but Toupo isn't afforded that incumbent preference and because the media have been calling for To'o Freddy has picked him. If it wasn't for Tedesco, I would again go for QLD.

As much as I love seeing our roosters boys represent our great state, I am also a bit relieved that only one player is involved in the NSW team.

We need to capitalise on as many points during this period and have our healthy players as fresh as possible without the post origin fatigue.

This. With the treatment we cop, they can get stuffed picking our players for their entertainment right now. Wouldn't begrudge any Rooster who wants too but I'm for a bit of circling the wagons.

even though i dont mind him missing out, i feel he would be gutted.

hes been done absolutely dirty by the selectors. was incredible last year and done nothing bad this year.

If we had no injuries we would be the dominant team in the comp and no doubt Toups would be in the team along with about 6-7 others. Unfortunately we will be without those players anyway. It is what it is.
