What happened to that in 2018 & 2019?

Just caz you win doesn't mean that inconsistent calls don't go against you. Easts were still on the receiving end of poor penalty decisions in 2018 and 2019

Well then your never happy & the refs are on a hiding to nothing.
Inconsistent calls have been happening since 1908, its part of the game & if you can get your head around that you will enjoy the game alot more.

I can accept the odd inconsistent call in a game. Especially ones that don't influence the overall result. Don't get me wrong I understand that refs are human.

What I'm referring to are the repeated calls that go againsf a team on a regular basis, that the same refs seem to either miss or let slide with the opposition.

Or like when Teddy makes a break, offloads to JWH who then offloads to nobody because Lam has been tackled without the ball. No penalty and a definate try scoring opportunity. Not even 30 secs later Faiders get a penalty for being tackled without the ball.

Yeah it's a point.

I was never great but I played basketball for my uni back in the day. I remember a big turning point in my understanding of competitive sport came when this American dude (came here to get his head right after narrowly missing out on the NBA & having some personal issues... later played some NBL) told me 'it evens out, just go back and defend!!!' when I was getting fired up about a terrible call. I did and he helped me to pour a bucket of ice on this whole situation so that I could start getting my head back into the game.

Meh. As fans it's different, but IMO as a player it's very important to ignore howlers because they happen. You can either let them put you off your game, or ignore them and move on. IMO you'll have issues as a pro if bad calls rattle you around all the time coz you'll be emotionally unstable like some ciggy butt brain or aomething.

End of the day the Brisbane game's in the past and we (frankly) played like shyte. We didn't deserve to win. Yes the ref had a Barry Crocker, but so did we and I'm glad we learned from it (whereas they got 40 put on 'em this week).
