If he was sacked then it's pretty shyte IMO. It's hard enough to cut through the politics in order to get promoted beyond reffing U15's footy.

First grade? Every week you see experienced refs who'll never lose their job making massive blunders. However, if a new one tries their best to ref to Uncle Pete's agenda of the week and stuffs up (he's probably just angry that 2 send-offs wasn't enough as we were still in the conpetition) then it leads to a week in the grandstand.

I hate shyte reffing, but they're the best we've got and I don't envy their job.

I thought Gough was completely out of his depth and made some appalling decisions. Looking at the list of current referees, he has by far the least experience and it showed. Ignoring the sin bins (which were mainly called by some other cretin in the bunker) the game was the most unwatchable, stop-start sporting spectacle I've witnessed in a long time and he was to blame.

Gough and Chris Butler (the bloke who wears his shorts very high) get dropped for each other every other week.
They've now even moved Matt Noyen ahead of both of them despite him having more than a few shockers in the Bunker this year

Wink, wink, gough, gough, say no more.
looks like he is only running the line for the tigers/dragons game....I'd say this is more his speed.
Everyone is already used to the touchy missing forward passes

Gough gets rewarded with 2 linesmen appointments this weekend due to his stellar ref performance last week for the powers that be including Sportsbet, the NRL partner. The other appointment is the tin men vs the chip stealers.

This No Roosters League crap reminds me of that time Sam Moa got suspended for putting his hand on the refs shoulder in a game at the scrum. Same ref had been working with us at training apparently.

                The scrutiny is excessive

And for the double-kicker. Do we receive the least amount of penalties as well?

I would say it’s the forward passes that did him in.

What’s his face tonight had a shocker on his return. How far forward was the pass for C Johns first ever try tonight? Plus The Storms first try was a definite obstruction. The only reason why it was called - sorry 2 reasons. 1. it was the Storm and the Ponies defender didn’t act up like Benji did. If it was us both would have been called up. The refereeing is a disgrace.

What a machine the storm club is though, their entire spine has not played for the past few weeks, with only Hughes returning tonight, and they did exactly what we should have last week, the broncos played pretty well early on, but the storm showed them why they are a top four team, and why the broncos are a bottom 4 team.

......was dropped on his head as a baby so cannot distinguish between forward and backward or high and low.
