It's why Islanders and our first nationals call each other Cuz. Because they probably are related, however distantly.

It actually added a bit of excitement to the games for me.

Talking of disappearing, the whole game will disappear if they don't get a grip on concussion.
I've heard a lot of talk about the game not being around in 15 years particularly from V'landys.
I'm curious as to what this actually means.
Is it that no one will want to play the game anymore? There will be no fans left? The game won't have enough money to payout potential lawsuits? The sport becomes illegal?
It just seems strange that suddenly overnight someone can say with such certainty that a sport that has been around for 110+ years won't last the next 15

        Good point.

I'm guessing it means the broadcasters will find more attractive options to spend their $$ on, with potential reputational damage etc. No munny no runny.

        Would that happen? Doubtful.

It will be bankrupted by law suits.

I would be surprised if that happened. We aren't America yet.

If you go to war, you might get shot.

To put it in terms PVL might understand I think the horse has bolted here.
There would be enough damage done to players leading up to last weekend for them to send the NRL bankrupt now if they chose to sue.

Fair point but it doesn't hurt to take steps now.

Concussions will always occur from accidental collisions whilst making tackles or from friendly fire from teammates however they would not be grounds to sue which is a different case from getting knocked out by an illegal tackle.
