Hey guys, been a while since I pestered you. Pretty happy Fitz is coming across, think he’ll be good for us and you have to admire him wanting to honour his contract with you guys. Says lot about him.

Whilst I’m not expecting a Barrett /Panthers situation where he’s raiding them I do expect a few players to come over and I’ve heard a few props.

One is Liu and the younger Butcher. And maybe someone who’s boarding with Fitz, but not sure if that’s true. They could all be rumours .

isaac's in close to career best form and the only way we'd let him go is if you throw a shit load of money at him. he's off contract this year so guess we'll know sooner rather than later. don't know about other players - fitzy won't do the wrong thing by the roosters but you'd figure a few might follow.

but what do you think of the sacking of morris? seems crazy to me - you could easily have been 4 from 5 when he was sacked

He can be life member and legend and still coach another club
Can’t see Robbo leaving for a while. You can have him back in 20 years, I’ll be too old to care about it then. Morris twins probably still playing.

I'm not so sure it’ll pan-out that well for Fitzy. I mean the Roosters are top-drawer, all the way from the cleaners up to Nick. At Cronulla he’ll have the same board that hung Morris out to dry. Not exactly apples for apples.

I think overall I'm happy we got Fitzgibbon, I did hope Morris could see out the year but I could see why they didn't keep him on. It has made this year less likely to be successful but lets face it, we weren't a top 4 team, top 8 if we're lucky. And doing it earlier on in the season gives Fitzgibbon more time to focus on next year, he's obviously still your AC but I understand he's putting a good amount of time to prepare for next year and he's got a head start, throw in the 4 to 5 million we have to spend.

I do think Morris became a HC waaayyyy too early, he was really just the easy option as he was already there. He'd only been our AC the year before. So he was very green and needs more time. He'll get an AC role somewhere for a few years and throw his hat in the ring soon I'm sure.

I think it's going to make this season a bit uglier but I don't think we were more than a 8th to 10th team anyway. Alot of players not putting in should be putting in as they're getting paid alot of money to perform. Says alot about those players and probably good we're cleaning out.

In regards to Morris, I'm not sure how they could have done it better. It's just a hard situation once the media got wind of it. From what I understand the media got the leak from the Roosters camp, the Sharks had been talking to Fitzgibbon since November. And as you now once it's out it's out.

Telling him in advance could have ended badly if we didn't get Fitz, then we've got no Morris and Fitz.

Sucks for him but we've upgraded so overall I'm happy

I think it was/is. McInnes was also told about Fitzgibbon and vice versa so I think Liu is known too.

I am sorry to see Fitzy go, but I certainly wish him well.

I too have the feeling that he will return "home" at some point in the future. Let's see how long it takes to eventuate.

Guarantee when Robbo takes over from Uncle Nick Fitzy will be back to take over from Robbo. Please don't ruin him in the meantime buy teaching him the bad habits of some of your previous coaches.

They're completely different roles. The Chairman role for a lot of clubs is non paying and not even a full time role. Robbo is a coach, a damn good coach. Can't see him being very far from a coaching role, maybe a coaching director role in the future but he's probably going to be your HC for a while. Time will tell I guess.

Fitz might very well return but won't be for a while.

5 to 7 years Fitz will be back .Robbo may be coaching director or a move back to France for the missus or even CEO
