Fitzy gone?

If Morris leaves Fitzy maybe released to take over as early as this week unless they have an interim coach in mind - I think he should be finished up in any case as he will have the Sharks on his mind in regards to signing and retention's and building a relationship with Sharks players for when he officially takes over in 2022 if what is being said is factual.

So who will the Roosters replace him with - current assistants are Matt King and Nathan Cayless- better get onto signing players they want to keep as Fitzy may take a few with him.

Good on Fitzgibbon. He gave 20 years plus of service to the club.....and he honoured his contract right to the end. He deserves a big pay day & a first grade coaching spot.

He will always be a Roosters legend, life member, premiership and Churchill medal winner.

Having said that i do think John Morris deserved better. He inherited a bit of a mess and had bad luck with key player injuries....yet he still got the team focussed to put in on game day. Hope he lands a first grade job somewhere in the future

Cords is still listed as being a player. - Too early for Friend though for an NRL assistant coach role - if he wants to coach start with one of the pathways junior rep sides as an assistant in 2022.

Not sure but Gould left Penrith to Coach the Chooks for the last game back in 1994.

500k a year for fitzy, probably doubles or triples his current salary, still doesn’t sound like an awful lot for the time effort, criticism and pressure he will be under.

At least he can't lose his hair.

Congrats to Fitzy on getting a crack at a head coaching position, he has given us tremendous service on and off the field. He will always be a roosters legend.
Morris has been hamstrung with some big name players on big contracts who haven't delivered. I've liked some of the young blokes he has given a go who won with the Jets a couple of years ago.

Fitzy has too much class and respect for our Club to leave this year, I’m sure he will wait until the season is over to start his new tenure..
