It was a great comeback victory tonight, buts lets face it , we were outplayed by the Sharks for 60 minutes.
What's worrying about that, is next week we play the Storm, who as a team , are a cut above the Sharks.
And our forwards lacked punch and drive to gain metres against an average Sharks pack
I hope Lindsay is back, and JWH, SST & Ice will really need to lift if we are any hope of matching the Storm.
Otherwise , it could be ugly.

Very concerning signs heading into the Melbourne Storm game. I’ve been saying it for a while now but we no longer have a great forward pack, it’s a very average forward pack and for the Sharks to come to the SCG and do what they did in that first half just shows how far off the pace we are at the moment. Players like SST & Liu seemed to have really dropped off in performance, JWH was great last night but coming off the back of a poor season by his standards and an indifferent start to the season, still no closer to solving the right edge back rower position and still don’t have a clear 2nd choice option after Radley at lock.

Robinson said it, we just weren’t physical enough in that first half and that’s really concerning.. it suggests the hunger and desire may have burnt a ltitlte out since winning our back to back premierships.

When was the last time we came back to win a game ? I honestly cant recall the last time we came back from a dozen points down to win a game .......... feels fantastic !

There have probably been a few but Easts vs Parramatta at the SCG in 1985 comes to mind, Parra led 20-4 before Easts come back to win 22-20, also East against Norths at NSO in 1984. Norths lead 20-6 with 10 mins to go before Easts finished with 3 tries in the last 10mins, two to John Ferguson and one to Shane McKellar to win 22-20 but these were at least 36 years ago but i'm sure there have been a few a bit more recent.

That was a great game to be at last night and i'm glad all the comeback play happened down the end of the field where we were sitting, had a beautiful view of Tupous try and also Walker crossing right in front of us.

Thank you so much again for giving me a copy of that game. . I have another from 28 May 2006 where we were down at half time also against Parra and didn't quite manage to win but got close at 22 to 20. Nathan Hindmarsh's quote to Channel Nine later "Well, that was rubbish!"

So I woke up this morning happy as Larry. Checked my phone and found this text message sent at 4am from a Sharks fan I know. I just had to share it with you all.

"When will the NRL hold the roosters accountable for being over the salary cap over the last decade like they did Melbourne? Week in week out they allow the rooster to field a team over the salary cap by hundreds of thousands of dollars. The same hypocrisy that allows men who beat women up to play. The league is an embarrassment"

Gotta love the butthurt. Losing to a 2nd gamer leading an injury hit team around after being in a commanding position must really really really really hurt.

You need to be more discerning as to whom you give out your phone number. . That bit I bolded is a bit of a stretch. Didn't they get caught for cheating up to 800k? Don't get me started on peptides either..I have them in my face cream and that is where they belong.

Its so funny reading this thread today from page 1.
How good was that last night. My wife & I were sitting up in the Brewongle stand having a few beers sitting amongst some Cronulla supporters & to come back from 18-4 was classical. Happy days.

Just an update , my 2 sharks workmates were very upset and more upset after so completely gave it to them, told them they should be ashamed up 18 to 4 and then run down and beaten by a 18 year old rookie

I'll have to deal with a sooky Raiders fan tomorrow (albeit we all work from home) and if he did his money at Randwick yesterday also.....they'll be double whinging.

To make it worse, I audit his work and had to fail something on Friday because it didn't pass my compliance check. He knows I have the same birthday as Tom Brady and SBW so he said "Yes I know, coach. You want me to play at your level, not stoop to mine"
