  • Troops arriving back from injury

Next week round 5 we have Collins and Fifita back.

In 3 weeks we have Keighran back.

In 5-6 weeks we have Lam and Verrills back.

Cordner will follow after that and than mid season Billy Smith.

I dare say Keighran will go straight to 5/8 until Lam returns. My guess is once Lam returns Robbo will give him the opportunity to cement his spot in the starting side.

When Verrills returns than Lussick will drop back to the bench.

Our team will look stronger each week and if we can avoid any more lengthy injuries than we might be in a stronger position than what we're feeling at the moment.

If Lam can't impress I wonder if Robbo will trial Manu at 5/8 with Billy Smith at Centre.

Either way at least we will start to have some options once some injuries clear up.

I'm starting to feel somewhat optimistic!

    Still very early days.

There's a curse, I don't know what it is but Bankwest stadium last year the double ACL ever since that day we've never been back to full strength.

The curse must be lifted before we can be optimistic.

It wouldnt surprise me that Friend announces tomorrow that he is retiring at the end of the year & plays next week.
If the team wins 3 out of 3 over the next 3 weeks maybe Hutch stays at 5/8?

Looked like both B Morris (Calf) and J Morris (Shoulder) would be in some doubt for the next game at least.

Hutch did his job and was quite good overall - Don't think Manu will be playing 5/8 any time soon though

Hutchinson’s running style reminds me of the Six Million Dollar man. The slow motion one though.

I think you are wrong on this. Hutch went well yesterday and if he plays with a little consistency then Adam K will be the bench utility.

How do you know Collins is back next week? I assume
have no idea what protocol the club is taking with him. He may well be back but to assume it is misguided.

I think Robbo should put that schmuck Fafita back in reserves just to teach him a lesson.

We will be forced to use Sualli soon enough.

Never been a Hutchison fan dating back to his time at the Dragons, but I must say he shut me up a little last night..

Even though not gifted with speed he seemed likely on a few occasions and seemed to compliment Walker well..

                  He definetly deserves another crack!

I got the injury update from Google sports news which advised Lindsay Collins(Ankle/Head Knock - Round 5). I took a screenshot to add to the post but unfortunately the image needs to be in URL format which I don't know how to do on my mobile.

While I do think Hutch went ok yesterday, my judgement to say he went ok is based on him not causing any major errors or issues for us.

I think ultimately Lam will go to 5/8 and it will be Keighran or Hutch fighting it out for utility.

Yeh I saw that, Cronk seemed quite diplomatic about it like he didn't know what was going on hahaha I'm sure he knows exactly though.

Not sure if Collins is 100% certain to return this week.

I saw that too and thought Cronk was being a little coy about divulging anything the roosters may or may not do. Reminded me of how we managed to keep his shoulder injury a secret pre ‘18 GF.
