These were some of the ridiculous comments in the media during the week.
Well I say it's a load of rubbish! We aren't a one man team. We have superstars all over the park.
Tonight we change the sentiment amongst those idiotic commentators.
We will adapt to the style of the new players coming into the side. We will reign superior this season and we will give this competition one hell of a shake.
Sam Walker is in earlier than expected. He's been earmarked as an elite player for two years. Let's get behind him.
Keary who I say (no disrespect of course)! But it's time to move on.
Raaaaaaaadley! Raaaaaaaadley!! SMASH 'EM!
GO ROOSTERS!
Yep an these comments are just that... ridiculous.
Despite having no possession, no bench and 3 key players injured [during the game alone] last week we only lost by a try (in a comp where there's now cricket scores against just about every losing tram).
We still have Tedesco, Collins, Crichton, SST, JWH, Radley, Toops, the Morris Brothers...etc.
Okay it hurts having Friend, Keary and Cordner out. However, that was the absolute best Souffs had against us on one of the unluckiest days we've had. If we were dead and buried then we wouldn't have kept fighting like that.
Something something... we won the second half with Hutcho and Manu in the halves against Reynolds and Walker. We're not fukking dead yet. It's round 4 and we've got Walker ready to debut. If anything, I'm excited about seeing him, Verrills, Lam and Suaalii getting some decent time in 1st grade as they're all ready for it.
Then you factor in Cords and Friend. Either they'll return or they'll be replaced (potentially mid-season). Only an absolute deadbeat would think we're finished.
Remember in 2018 a few supporters on here wrote us off after our Anzac Day clash. That is two months in and Cronk still hadn't gelled with the side. In other words, don't read too much into tonight's performance, or the next few weeks for that matter. It could take as late as post-SOO after Verrills and our SOO players have played a few games together.
I am not saying we are going to lose. Just saying that you won't see the best of us until much later in the year.
Good points Dice. People can be waaaaay too quick to write off a team, or an individual for that matter.

Really excited to have a look at young Walker in the top grade and to see if he can guide us around. Joey Manu in the 6 is a risk but he's such a dangerous runner I'm looking forward to him getting his hands on the ball more often.
Walker from what I've seen plays predominantly on the right but Joey is a very right sided player as well so I'll be interested to see where they line up. Whoever is on the right will have Katoa to contend with from the warriors left edge and I really rate him as a backrower.
Teddy will help out with his ball skills and we get our X factor in the forwards in Radley back.
We haven't dominated in the forwards since he went down with his ACL as he leads our line speed and intensity, in fact I'd say we have been trampled by the other good sides packs.
Hutch can kick from dummy half and take some of the pressure off young Sam occasionally.
Warriors have been playing well and won't be easy but I think our polish will get us home.
Easts to win.
Happy easter to everyone who’s celebrating now and for those in May I’ll remember to say it in 4 weeks time.
I would think that Walker would be the logical kicker today, why wouldn’t he be? It’s part of his game and we shouldn’t cuddle him too much, he needs to get used to first grade pressure, and today is the first step in a long and distinguished and successful career ( with the roosters of course) .
Really looking forward to this game considering the footy this weekend has been rather uninteresting with the exception of Poopinhausen's masterclass.
It is now the moment of truth for Sam Walker. All the talk is now done (except for the pre match show) and it is now time for action. Best of luck to Sam. Also, welcome back The Inflictor.

I only asked because I, like most on here would never have seen him kick before. Yes he is a goal kicker. But is he up to first grade standard?
I too cannot wait to watch this game, see Walker and Radley play, and to prove the doubters, naysayers and haters wrong. Despite this, I think it will be tough and closely contested. Warriors games usually are.
Easts by 6. Let's fire up you mighty Roosters!
MRR or Rabid
Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
I feel very optimistic and excited for this game today, the pain and confusion i felt last wk was tough to deal with but I've never felt more excited to see someones debut more than Sam Walker's! Warriors will be a test with a confident RTS but I believe that the boys will pull through! Sam Walker to set up 2 and score a try of his own! Never count the Roosters out!

That’s why is asked.
Nothing wrong with your question. From all reports and from I’ve seen at NS , he can kick goals, and I don’t think the goals are any different in dimension in first or second grade. Let’s watch and enjoy the next generation of roosters coming through.
