The up and coming hooker to watch is Tom Deakin in Ball.
The smokey in the havles is Coby Thomas
Tyler Moriarty is another to watch - A standout in the Laurie Daley cup comp for the winning Central Coast Roosters side (player of that comp i think).

Played SG Ball yesterday off the bench as the second hooker and scored a solo try from Dummy Half beating 5 or 6 Raiders defenders - Cook like speed and step and good kicking game and D - played most of the game when the Chooks half Hugo Savala went off earlier with Injury. swapping between Dummy Half and Backrow

Sandon Smith 5/8 / Hugo Savala 1/2 / Joshua Wong backrower/ Nick Fenton /Jeff Tatupu props/ Jordan Swan Centre are some others from SG to watch - Cooper Toy from Harold Matts one of a few in that group too - be interesting to see how Toy progresses as he has some serious wheels as they say - scored another double yesterday in Matts. - winger/fullback/centre.

Fenton reminds me of a young JWH - not sure JWH had the mullet though

Volkster has carved up attack wise, but we should have learnt by now that youth comp form like that doesnt mean jack in First Grade. Jayden Nikorima was quite similar, so cracking the champagne bottles is very premature.

On another note, Lam really deserves a longer crack to show what he has got and i'm pretty sure Robbo will give it to him.
With the constant discussion going on lately here on the Pen about Lam & King Salvo being a big advocate of his then I see he's started a Volkman thread so I just couldnt help myself posting that its probably to replace Lam. It was tongue in cheek.

Me personally I would have like to see Lam take the No 6 jersey & really make it his own & I think he has had terribly bad luck.

With Keary to return from an ACL and being in a similar position to Cords and Friend as far as concussions go it's paramount the Chooks sign the Volkster and develop him to NRL standard as other clubs will pounce.

Be interested to see how he goes in NSW Cup as he is training with the NRL side which i assume means extra training with Cooper Cronk as well.

I've got a rap on Coby. I like what he brings.

Good job Daniel Anderson our recruitment boss for spotting and nurturing our next generation of stars.

Coby is actually a local junior (came from holy Cross to the Crocs in about u14s or u15s) and once Adrian Lam saw him play (in the age group between his 2 boys) he got the Roosters to lock him up.

Good to see Ben Marshke debut, I forgot about him. A graduate from the 2016 u20s premiers

Without being rude, there are a few in that list that really aren't worth that much of a look

There's a few on here like myself wondering how the talked up local prospect Luca Moretti is coming along. Any idea?
                Thanks.

                  Yep he's a gun.

Could be plenty of silverware with Walker, Suaalii and Volkman around for the next decade.

Training with Flegg last time I saw but I do suspect he maybe on the injured list.

Moretti has been playing jersey flegg for us but was a late exclusion this week - perhaps being promoted to the bears along side Volkman

that was a bit harsh, but that was in terms of graduating the first grade, not in terms of how they are playing in their age based comps
