Yeah exactly right mate, we never earned the right to play attacking footy, like 6 has mentioned - you need to bash teams up the guts, defend well and pressure well then you can spread it and play block play after block play when the opposition is starting to fatigue and then we can make inroads. Last night at the game we tried to do it from the get go and never changed to plan B.

Rads plus either Friend or Verills is what we need.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Teddy did most of it. I think he was searching for a linebreak to lift our spirits and it never came.
Souffs' defence within our 50 was great! Any techies know what they did? Notably it was shytehouse near their tryline. It's as if they stepped up closer or something and had less defenders behind the line? We scored quite easily when we got the chance to kick but we didn't get a lot of chances as they didn't let us break their line...

The above also resulted in increased 6 again's in trying to slow down the play the ball and momentum.
Chooks sideways attack was easy to defend against as Souffs Vermin defence moved up quick as a straight line and worked as a unit with no lazy defenders or players rushing out of the line - Chooks needed to go through the middle and build the platform for their attack.
Chooks attack was too deep - starting 5 or so metres behind the play the ball enabling the fast moving straight line defence to limit yardage and going sideways as well made gaining yardage even harder as there was no chinks or creases in the defensive line as there was vs Manly and Wests Tigers.
Chooks were playing suit and tie footy when overall footy was required.Last edited by King Salvo; 04-01-2021, 09:22 PM.
