Has he had a fall out with uncle Nick? The last couple of years he's had nothing positive to say about us and tonight on 100% footy he pointed out that we've just beaten Manly and the Tigers and then he brought up that 60-8 debacle which anyone with half a brain could see that we had our minds off that game and just went through the motions. I was pissed off that we lost like that but I can still recognise the reasons we got thumped. We all know what Roosters we'll see on Friday. I hope we do it just for Gus.

I don't think there has been a fallout but he gets on the Chooks case a fair bit nowadays especially late last season and his GF commentary even for him was way too Pro-Penrith and over the top - Will he still be Pro-Penrith when employed as a consultant for the Warriors though?
Not many times do the Warriors appear on FTA - 3 times this year - so it will interesting to hear what he says if he is part of the commentary for these games -especially round 18 when Penrith play the Warriors.
That game last year vs Souffs Vermin was a mystery and a Bermuda Triangle game as the real Chooks disappeared without trace that night.
Expected the Knights to win their game making the Vermin game a somewhat non event and their minds were obviously on the finals so they were not there in body, mind or spirit. -
as long as their minds are on the job friday night, revenge is a dish best served cold .... whatever robbo needs to do to inspire a chooks victory is imperative.

Not a fan of Gus but is that's all he said its all true. The two teams we have played wont be there at the pointy end and getting beat by the Vermin 60 - 8 was a disgrace that should never been allowed to happen. There was no pride shown that game.Comment

In the 100% Footy after last year's GF they went through how each team will go this year.
He said the Roosters are on the slide and won't make the Top 4.
He must have forgotten that we had two new players for this year in Rads and Verrills and the impact Rads has on our team in both defence and attack.
You know when they say a player sometimes goes one year too long. Well Gus and Rabs have gone about one decade too long and unfortunately it looks like Gus will go for at least another decade.
He is the Trump of the NRL.

I dont know why people get upset when commentators write us off. I love it ! I love hearing them talk up the Vermin, Storm, Riff or whoever. Takes the focus off us and onto other teams who cant handle the mantle ...and its more motivation for our players to prove them wrong !Comment

Why are people getting upset on what he says.
We lost our last 3 games in 2020, one by over 50 points and this year we are 2 from 2 against teams competing for the wooden spoon.
This is our first real test this season, win or loss we will be in the top 8 at seasons end. A few teams have caught up to us and there is no guarantee we will make the top 4, I expect we will but wouldn't be shocked if we only finish 5th or 6th.Comment

It's hard to forget the thrashing we copped last year. It was unacceptable.
Realistically we have beaten two poor teams so far.
