  • JWH stats vs Tigers

I thought JWH was the best forward on the field today, i know Lindsay had a couple of try assists but JWHs hit ups and tackles were so effective.

He played 47mins, 18 runs for 167m, 66 post contact metres(Most in our team), 32 tackles with 1 missed tackle for 97% effectiveness(Best in our team).

This postwqs simply to acknowledge his impact today and i hope he continues with his form.

JWH played well, but I found myself being more impressed with Lindsay to be honest, relatively speaking of course.
          MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

been an absolute beast when he has come on this year...

great today, but not like he was last week he physically hurt people....bully, dirty, menacing, nasty, aggressive....love him.

Thought our forward pack got outplayed in the first 10 minutes until our backs took over, there were some similar concerns against Manly. Most notably some of the breaks we conceded through the middle today.

Will be interesting to see what happens up against a side who can sustain some pressure and not crack as easily as the Sea Eagles and Tigers have in recent weeks.

No doubt having Radley, Crichton, Friend, Cordner & Verrills all missing doesn’t help but I just don’t think we have a top 4 pack at the moment. Plenty to prove this year after getting played off the park last year against Canberra.

Hopefully with Radley and Crichton back next week it adds a bit of starch back to our pack though i daresay Radley will need at least a month to get some match fitness.

Some valid concerns after the way the Raiders and Panthers ran over the top of us in last years finals series; but if we can put this forward pack out come finals time then I'd back them against anyone:

                  8. Taukeiaho
                  9. Verrills
                  10. Collins
                  11. Crichton
                  12. Tupouniua
                  13. Radley

                  14. JWH
                  15. Liu
                  16. Cordner
                  17. Friend

I like the idea of Cords and Jake on the bench. Fewer minutes to reduce the likelihood of a HIA but massive impact and experience. That's an awesome bench with Butcher, Fifita and Keighran in the wings too.

I think this is a really smart move by TR (and thought otherwise to begin with), as it allows Jared to really rip in without having to have any worry about endurance. It is just get in and trip & tear.

friend off the bench in 19 gf was game saving in my opinion. he did the defence of 2 people.

Genuine strike and mongrel off the bench .

And we don’t have to have Jarred and SST off the fields at the same time which always weakens us significantly.
