Calls I disagreed with...

Was trying to work out what was happening with Tedesco taking so long with the conversion attempt, the better half quipped that Tedesco was trying to find someone else to kick after his first woeful attempt, then we worked out that it was a call from the video ref .

The ref awards the try and the bunker then reviews the try in the background whilst the kicker prepares for the goal kick - if the try is confirmed/upheld the kicker then takes the kick - if no try the defending team receives the ball.

I think they were saying the bunker review time is 80 seconds - no time is supposedly lost as the kicker is to be ready to take the kick once the try has been confirmed/upheld by the bunker.

Yep, realised what was happening when it came up on the screen, another new rule to get used to.

No pleasing some people, we won by over 40 points.
I'm sure Manly fans will be saying that some decisions against them were a bit harsh, every losing team does.
Those fans probably still know they were never in the game but it could of been closer.
When we do loose a game this forum will be full of the refs and NRL are against us and we got robbed.

I like to think I'm open minded and believe the refs and NRL aren't against us, yes we have had a few dud calls that cost us games but we also have had calls go our way giving us the win.

One great thing that vlandys has done is dump Sutton as the refs boss and ended the Sutton, Cummings and Klein regime and stranglehold on the top positions in the game.
All the big games this week in the Thursday night Friday 7.30 , Saturday 7.30 and Sunday 4 pm games were given to the younger brigade that don't have the same bias as the others and hopefully they are given genuine opportunities.
All we want is a fair crack and I think we'll get it off the younger refs.

I reckon if they’re gonna make quick calls via video review that ultimately end up wrong, they may as well dump it and stick with refs call. It’ll even out

IMO JWH should have been penalised. I love his aggression, but that kind of stuff can't hurt us with penalties, momentum shifts, suspensions. Let's hope it's just a bit of first round frustration.
