Yeah already confirmed to be considered only for Saturday and Sunday games (if confirmed). That will allow bears games to be played at NSO on weekends roosters play away, Thursday or Fridays.
Even then I can see the bears moving a limited amount of games to SCG (or central coast) for a triple header - if they can’t commit to all Saturday/Sunday home games then it will just be a double header with the Flegg team. Hell, they may even chuck in the Roosters women’s NSWRL team in to make numbers if bears can’t move some.
Anything is better than the current nothing before first grade games for us!
NSO is always out of action to around May anyway because of the cricket pitch and maintenance so the bears may be more than happy to play at SCG early on in the year, if helped logistically by the Rooster and NRL.
I believe the teams have now been confirmed for this years NSW now that Canberra have decided to field a team. The comp will include:
Canberra
Mounties (Bulldogs)
Blacktown (Manly)
Newtown (Sharks)
Parra
Penrith
Newcastle
Wests Magpies
Dragons
Souffs
Looking forward to seeing Suaalii and Walker build confidence for the bears.
