Yeah already confirmed to be considered only for Saturday and Sunday games (if confirmed). That will allow bears games to be played at NSO on weekends roosters play away, Thursday or Fridays.

Even then I can see the bears moving a limited amount of games to SCG (or central coast) for a triple header - if they can’t commit to all Saturday/Sunday home games then it will just be a double header with the Flegg team. Hell, they may even chuck in the Roosters women’s NSWRL team in to make numbers if bears can’t move some.

Anything is better than the current nothing before first grade games for us!

NSO is always out of action to around May anyway because of the cricket pitch and maintenance so the bears may be more than happy to play at SCG early on in the year, if helped logistically by the Rooster and NRL.

I believe the teams have now been confirmed for this years NSW now that Canberra have decided to field a team. The comp will include:
    Canberra
    Mounties (Bulldogs)
    Blacktown (Manly)
    Newtown (Sharks)
    Parra
    Penrith
    Newcastle
    Wests Magpies
    Dragons
    Souffs

Looking forward to seeing Suaalii and Walker build confidence for the bears.

I am all for it, subject to the logistical challenges already mentioned. Our game needs to restore as many of its traditions as possible. Listen to what the fans want!
      MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Speaking of Rooster numbers - pretty cool that the 4th player who debuts this year will be Rooster #2000. Any bets?
4 players need to debut to get to 2000 - candidates would be out of Keighran / Walker/ E Butcher/ F Baker/ J Suaalii plus player 29 and 30 yet to be named - Graham-Taufa twins/Tapuha/Whyte and player 5 and 6 yet to be named for development contracts can i understand play NRL as a result of an injury crises or after June 30.

            6 debut's in 2020 - Flanno/J Morris/ D Fifita/ M Bailey / C Tuipulotu/ F Lussick

one out of left field - The Volkster - Ronald Volkman

Current list of players who have represented the Tri-Colours/Chooks since 1908 by name / number and debut year - be good if they could list the actual game and date of the debut

Can you please be The Volkster’s player sponsor?
I’d get a kick out of hearing the ground announcer sayin runnin Ron is proudly brought to you by King Salvo.
Do it King, you won’t be going on any overseas trips this year.
                  ..it’ll be interesting to see

PVL has vowed to make it happen and "will walk over anyone who gets in the way".

                    Harsh, but fair.

Bears playing all home games at North Sydney Oval - Roosters Flegg also playing their games there. No Bear’s flegg team this year so they must have combined them

I notice the Bears are listed for NSO on the same day we play Canberra at Gosford. You would think that would be a logical double header.

Agreed - seems like something that would have been easy to arrange but perhaps the bears demanded all their home games be played at NSO (I thought we may have got one or two games at SCG or Central Coast with the Chooks) - not sure that they are that connected to the Central Coast these days as they were when they were bidding for a team there, I feel they have moved past that as there isn't much hope. The coast seems to be well and truly the Rooster's area at the moment.

I surprised also that all Chook's Flegg games are at NSO - you'd think they could have been a curtain raiser for the bears on a Sat or Sun a few times. Look's like another year with no pre-game

I would like to see game day made up of a youth match, women's match, 2nds and 1st grade. Logistically it is probably impossible but that would be a great day. I miss the days of watching players come through the grades.

Short term pain for long term gain NC.
Once the Taj Mahal @ Moore Park is built and ready for play (mid 2022), i imagine there will be plenty of "all 3 grades" being played. Hang in there fellow Chooksters.....joyous times ahead!!!
