Certainly is. Was having chat with a mate who played for them and he’s returned home and set up his life here now as there is definitely no future there. At least for the foreseeable future anyway.

- $$$ backer ran out of liquid assets (not a great time to sell all your investments)
- Team got hit by COVID travel restrictions
- The above made them unviable
Meh. IMO you wouldn't wanna play in the UK/Europe right now anyway. Like sure if you're getting $1m a year but COVID's pretty hectic over there right now and probably will be for most of 2021. I wouldn't want my family over there.
TBH I was amazed that SBW had planned a trip to Spain before coming here. Dodged a bullet IMO.

Such a shame.

They had an amazing old school style set up at home which really made it an enjoyable day out.

I think for the first 12+ weeks we’re going to see a lot of new/fringe players getting a run or carried on the bench. I don’t see Nat Butcher locking down a spot on the bench.
I see the second row being made up with Sitili, Angus and Liu with Radley slowly coming back into the game and then later on, Liu will come off the bench as Radley goes back to starting at Lock.
Collins is probably the only definite bench player. Others that will get a crack will be; Sam Verrills, Egan Butcher, Fletcher Baker, Adam Keighran, Daniel Fifita and Drew Hutchinson.
The Roosters 30-man squad isn’t officially confirmed but don’t be surprised to see a late addition of either of these two from the North Sydney Bears: Max Bailey and Tom Freebairn.
PS: SBW is NOT needed in 2021. He’s a great athlete and would be a great motivational/professional boost to the squad but due to his age, history and potential of future injuries (which means sitting on the sidlines), salary cap pressure … I don’t think he’s needed or worth the risk this season.

His body wouldn't be up for week in week out footy anyway. He'd be awesome off the bench.
He was one of our best in the game against Canberra and showed that he can still produce.
