The Roosters need a goal kicker and a half...like the one they just let go.
The one we let go was a goal kicker....but fark me he was no half

Dont bloke Sam Walker and we already have Cronk to guide him through the season

The roosters have won many comps with this ageing squad.
this year should earmark the the start of a youth policy.
            No No No

I'm going to offer a big fat no to Benji. In his prime I would have loved him at the Roosters. Not in 2021.

I wouldn't be too confident about Walker as the answer. Already Trent has found two boom juniors wanting - Flannigan and O'Sullivan. Most often they're great individuals but lack the tactical smarts. I think Micky Lane nominated Fogarty (Titans) as the type needed - confident, skillful and no doubt intelligent in the Cleary mould. Obviously they passed on Burton in favour of the Worriers fella who has slim NRL experience. Hutch is a solid utility but has never been able to reach that top shelf level that so few are capable of, Cronk being the doyen up there with the great Halves. We were lucky to have him but he's left gigantic hole and we don't win another Premiership until it's filled.

flanno and sullo never had the same raps as walker. there's no guarantee walker will be the star some good judges say he will be but i'm looking forward to see how he goes over the next few years. we haven't signed him on top flight half back money at this stage so we're letting things develop naturally

Benji can still put ball runners through holes and guide a team around the park with a fairly decent boot however he does have some issues in defence that are hard to hide.
I too have question marks on Walker particularly his size in defence but I think he'll be given the opportunity this year along with Lam.
From what I saw of keighran in the halves he will provide back up like hutch did.

Tele reporting Benji could go to ESL on a contract worth a darn sight more than $150k.

Benji can put ball runners through holes but he also puts opposition attacking players through holes as well with his missed tackles.

I don't think Benji has another premiership in him. Was a great player in his day, but his days are over IMO. He isn't the answer for the chooks
