I read it very closely and yes we need depth in the halves. I just don’t think we would have considered Flanno and given him first crack at the start of the year if Lam was that good.

I would love to see anyone succeed in our colours and I wish Lam the best. Hopefully he becomes the next Andrew Johns.

No probs...if/when Flanagan goes I would expect we sign someone who can play halves again...and the debate will go on!

There is no doubt someone in the squad who can do the job. Robbo wouldn't leave the team with just an injured SST as kicker. There is a plan.

Cords has kicked before (although he was VERY average).

Perhaps Lam has the fundamentals down and just needs the training?

Cords kicking!!!!! gees may as well have it as try scorer kicks -maybe's that Robbo's Plan- I noticed Guerra nailed one from near the sideline in his last game despite Johns saying he was a billion/gazillion to 1 in kicking it - what about JWH i am sure with a bit of practice.........

In Adelaide at the fan session I saw Radley pick up a ball from 45 metres out right on the sideline and kick a field goal. Casual as you like. When I recounted this moment in a recent conversation with him he told me, “Yeh I can kick them but I would never kick one during a game.”

My point is.....I don’t actually have one.

Interesting article from 2018 when SST and LM were fighting it out for the first choice goal kicking role after the departure of Gordon pre-season- delete LM and insert Walker and possible others and run the story again in 2021. Certainly also reinforces the need for a reliable kicker and what happens if you have one compared to if you don't.
