I'm neutral on him but no way should he cop the flack for last night. Some of our forwards ill discipline, missed tackles and general lack of hunger were the main factors.
JWH - urrghh. Need I say may more
SST - has been our best player all year, but last night was quietest game I've seen from him all year
Liu - as above
Lussick tried hard and showed potential, but he aint Friendy when it comes to defence yet.
Flanno's thin and light, but can bulk up like Cleary. Kikau ran at him all night, but he did ok and did a beaut one on one early on. His goal kicking also showed he has clutch mentality. Irony was he shanked a relatively easier kick which could have made it 12-0. He ain't no Finch v.2. Cleary also copped a lot of flak last year - look at him now. Know nothing about Walker except youtube highlights, but am wary of people saying 'next best playmaker-saviour' thing on young kids.
Penrith are the real deal. I said a few weeks ago the only team I can be certain who'll be in the GF were the Panthers. Still not sure who the opposition would be - Melba, Easts and possibly Souffs.
Last night's score was indicative of recent GF's between us and them in the SG Ball and Holden Cup where Penrith got a huge early lead but we clawed back and beat them by 1 or 2 points at the death. Butcher, Faumasili, Manu, Sitili and our former prize centre all experienced this.
I'd also put an end to the SBW experiment.
