Butcher is a handy replacement. I am not exactly his biggest fan, but he will go out and not disgrace hinself tomorrow night.

I like to see other players get some game time, especially in the finals. It will add to our depth and experience.

Fk me dead, the hate for Butcher from some of the morons on here is well out of proportion to the guys ability.

Butcher is a very young, solid, defensive middle forward who still hasn't matured physically.

Mentally he is quite asture.

He isn't a ballplaying second rower with a once-in-a-generation physique like SBW. Having said that, i wouldnt say SBW has set the world on fire at all in 2020.

Butcher is a good player and he'll do a good job for the team.

There are plenty of other blokes there in the side for the flashier stuff.

Sonny is the link that we had been missing since Radleys injury. Now it's all up to Keary, (which we can bank), and Kyle (who is still a work in progress) To step up to get us through. Not happy with Lam taking a space 'in case'. I'm waiting to see him winning us A game so prove me wrong Lam Jnr! I am happier with Butcher as he is just there to defend and make a break every 5 games and score every 20 games. I am 100% sure that SBW will be back next game cause the postie told me so!

Let me express my counterpoint. Butcher is shit, he is a complete anomaly in this team. SBW is a significant upgrade.

Not sure SBW is that much of an upgrade but yes, Butcher has been making up the numbers for a while now.

SBW is such a gentleman that he probably put his hand up & told Robbo that the others deserve a spot ahead of him. He's an honest guy & knows where he's at in terms of match fitness, speed & conditioning at the moment.
