We know we have the team and coach we’ve done it twice but attitude is what’s important here. Is it Roosters vs Penrith or Roosters vs 60? If in our minds we play for redemption we wont win because going for a win was wrong against souths. We must play our style of footy not get caught up in emotions which will definitely throw us off our focus on our gameplan. We need to outsmart Penrith not try to beat them in the first 5 minutes.

Edwards has improved a lot in the last 2 seasons, but he does have an error in him if placed under pressure. I remember when Panthers played Storm at Bathurst in round 3 last year, Munster kept bombing to Edwards and the kick chase pressure forced a few knock ons from Edwards which led to Storm tries. In the end, Storm won comfortably 32-2. Edwards can be a confidence type player, so if we target him early, it could set us up nicely.

The other thing is kick pressure on Cleary, not sure why haven't more teams done it this season, but he gets way too much time on 5th tackle options to decide where and how to place his kicks, someone should just go out and target him all night and silence him (within the rules), kind of like how Graham kept Cronk quiet in the 2016 GF. If we shut Cleary, then we have a great chance, since he has been such an influence on all of their wins this year.

I think Robbo will keep it simple with the game plan and get the guys to play their brand of footy and instill confidence and self belief into them, last week was a one-off, we start fresh this week, finals is a new comp.

he has had so much space and time to kick because their forwards lay a platform for him very well, in order for us to enable that tactic will be the forward battle.
