However, against Melbourne with their big bench I would have them there so we can have Angus at lock and Isaac on the bench to counter NAS etc.

    Teddy
    Morris
    Manu
    Morris
    Toups
    Keary
    Flanagan

    Lui
    Cordner
    Crichton
    JWH
    Friend
    Tauks

    Lam
    Collins
    Sitili
    SBW

These seventeen players will win the premiership.

PS. Sorry Aubbo, you have been a great servant but now is no time for sentiment. PPS. Sorry Butch, just edged out by Sitili because he is bigger.
I agree with this line up.

The only curve ball I want to throw in is do you think there is a chance Lam goes back to 7 now?

Don't think so , we need a goal kicker , points will be a top priority so Flanigan will stay for mine

I like JT’s team, especially Gus on the right edge, but I believe we’ll have Aubbo instead of Lam as utility. Robbo trusts him entirely, and against Penrith I think that’s our best 17.

Small chance. We need the goal kicks.

We have plenty of cover in the back row. If need be Angus could do as good a job at centre as Aubbo.
            Sonny can cover centre too.

I reckon Sitili is getting a game for sure on Friday night. Can’t see him going from starting 13 to not in the 17 at all. He can be a game breaker. Sonny and Collins can play in the middle from the bench.

I generally agree with JT's team, but:

                -- if Jake doesn't play, I would bring Freddy in, as a specialist;

-- I would place Butch on the extended bench. I would have contemplated promoting him to the bench, but we have Sitili there, and I think that I am comfortable with that.

If Jake does play, I believe I would go with Freddy on the bench, as I am more impressed with his speed in attack than Lam at the moment.

Unfortunately, Aubo doesn't quite make the cut at the moment, but I would like to reassess after the Penrith game, as I would with SBW. As good and effective as he is, he should not be an automatic selection every week. I would want his performance and contribution to increase significantly this week, as I expect from most of the team.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

We have to get a good start, so I would have Lui in at lock. Defence is paramount so I think Butcher gets over Sitili. Backs are almost a given, The only decision will be Flanno or Lam at half. I would stick with Flanno for his kicking, but it's a close call. Bench has to be Lindsay, SBW, Butch and Aubs to cover the backs if required, if he is not there and Flanno starts then I would have Lam on the bench to cover hooker and backs. If Flanno misses out and Lam starts then Aubs comes in and Sitili might miss out.

I'm thinking if Friend plays we go with Maubs on the bench and Lam/Lussick miss out. Flanagan is a must imo.

If Friend is named to start, who will be the ideal cover if neither Lussick nor Lam are on the bench? I thought Lussick was solid playing the full 80 against Canberra. My worry is it might be a big ask for either Butcher or Aubo to play 9 if anything does happen to Friend.

The other thing I was thinking was if it made any sense to start Collins and bring either JWH or Taukeiaho off the bench for impact towards the end of the half? For me, Liu has to start at lock.

Agreed with Liu at lock but not benching JWH or SST. They are both great at the start of games when the players have more energy, Collins is perfect for when the players are fatigued with his play style.

I hope Collins is in beast mode this week.
