I still think he is on our 17 but after last Friday who knows anything.
This is the situation in a nutshell.

Clearly, we took the foot off the gas. But we never planned for that sort of walloping. So what's the fall out...

Is it too big a psychological blow? Or fresh impetus and water off a duck's back for a champion team with unrivalled big game pedigree?

Ultimately I will always defer to "Trust in Trent. He has earned it like no other. So I'm backing the team to rebound in an apparent trolling of the opposition gone wrong last week.

But who knows, I was surprised the Tetevano was jot in the GF side last year.
I think you are way off the mark with SBW.
To use last week's game to judge him is a bit presumptuous (I think that is the word).
Hardly anyone put in. It was more like everyone knew what they had to do (or not have to do) and they were all on the same page.
He showed a couple of weeks back what he has to offer. He said he is now at peak fitness so I am looking forward to seeing the true difference he can make from now on.

        Taken from Fox:
Skipper Jake Friend has avoided a cheekbone fracture and is likely to play in the Roosters first final against Penrith if he can pass concussion protocols. “He seems alright actually today,” James Tedesco said of his captain on Sunday. “He seems really positive. I think it was more his cheekbone that he was worried about, but he’s got that all cleared. “He’s good, he was out doing some light running so that’s positive.”
        EASTS TO WIN!

you had 16 others also who were more like ushers than footy players - only difference was there was no torches to show the souths players to their seats - try line

Having Jake in the team should not be underestimated. That is a massive boost.

I’m not judging anything by that game... clearly could see there was no real desire to over extend by anyone.

And considering the changes and the fact the team had a rest during the week, it’s obvious they didn’t prepare with any intent.

I’m judging by all the other games..... I think he is a step off the pace... I don’t expect a lot of minutes etc either!
i think he’ll play purely for his off loads!!

Time will tell. He has only had three games (not including the last one).
Fitness was an obvious issue the first three but as I said, he said he now feels that he is fully fit so I expect much improvement from now on.
And he showed glimpses of the old Sonny against the Sharks. That may be enough.

                    Yes I like this team.
But I think Aubo will be in there , so maybe Lam misses out.

There’s too much experience in the team to get over a loss like that...it would be different if it was Penrith because they are too young and haven’t experienced losing. They’ll find out on Friday.

On a different topic regarding the game, the Talkin Sport team are calling for the stewards to be called in and also a Royal commission into the loss by the Roosters...Obviously they think there was something dodgy there, obviously joking.

True! But if I’m not wrong Robbo has rotated at least one of the edge players before. This is why he carries Butcher in the 17 because he’s not there to replace JWH or TKO.

Interesting looking at the Souffs lost from Pamfers' perspective - everyone in media (led most loudly Gould) has come out and declared we are gone, no chance.

So - should be an easy game coming up for the Pamfers - they just have to turn up you'd think. We are gone after all?

Not the SBW of old but still a great option. Forget the Souffs game. The couple before that he was great.

Its really setting the scene perfectly for us. I'm getting confident.

The winner of Friday nights game goes on to win the comp.
