Obviously you doctored that footage. I have been reading lots on this forum and therefore know for a fact that Pearce is a myth!

Pearce is a very good player (Top 5 in his position).

        He is still improving.

I don't want to have to get some stats out to prove you nit wits wrong but if necessary I will.

stats are stats. they dont suggest anything about is (lack of) ability to pull out the big plays in crucial periods of the match

            pull them out anyway

^valuable post that adds to absolutely nothing.

thank you for agreeing and not bothering to dispute anything else i said. If you bother to search up my post history to 2008 you will find i was a staunch supporter of Pearce, but like many others on here i am now growing impatient at his development. Phil Gould has also made the same comments

He's: 5th highest for try assists in the comp (behind Lockyer, Thurston, Marshall and Hayne)
4th highest for linebreak assists in the comp (behind Thurston, Marshall and Hayne)

I really don't get all the hate for Pearce, sure he's not a Johns or Thurston (very few players reach the level they have) but he is FAR from the worst 7 in the comp as some would have you believe on here. He's a good, solid young halfback who will continue to grow and develop his game as he matures. But of course at the end of the day he's still a useless gimp who rides soley on his surname according to the keyboard warriors on here

Your impatience is most likely a product of your disillusion over his ability

Pearce at 22 years of age is comfortably one of the best halfbacks going round, a rare commodity in the modern era. Why Roosters supporters can be happy and accept that I don't know. It's not his fault we haven't been able to find a 5/8 to compliment him (well we did for one year). He'd make every side in the NRL bar one or two. The statistics do reflect this...

                    I wonder what will happen on here when Maloney & Pearce don't hit the heights people think they will, either;

                    a) Pearce just hasn't developed well, he's a myth
                    b) Maloney was a dud buy we bought him on the back of one good season
                    c) People actually realise, shit we just signed two halfbacks and didn't address the real issue that we lack a creative playmaker.

So everything Phil says is an absolute fact?

                      Stats are facts.

They show how someone has performed on the day.

What they don't show is how a team gelled on the day despite individual stats

You can hardly blame Pearce for the forwards not going forward

For the backs, SKD for example, dropping the pill

The kid is a good player, and will continue to improve

                      Stop being impatient

And support your team you muppet

so us the stats on missed tackles, line breaks, repeat sets, field goals and ,match winning plays, the bloke is a good honest 1st grade halfback, not the messiah some make him out to be.

No one has said he's the messiah, you always chuck that line out.

2010 Pearce proved his worth, none of you were complaining! Why cause we had a creative player in carney, that allowed pearce to take on the organising role which he did great and effectively was in the top 3 halfbacks for the yr. This yr he took on two roles, which bought his game down a bit although picked up in the back end.

That wasn't that hard was it PWN? He is a good honest halfback, not the biggest problem our team has. Even though thats what some people make him out to be.
