Agreed 100% Farian. Both Sheck and Wells are supremely talented. And Alofa has all the attributes as well. We are in a very good position when it comes to fullback. For mine Sheck is at a disadvantage to get in the first grade team compared to Wells due to his versatility. From what I've seen and heard looks like he could play anywhere along the backline including 6 at a pinch. He'll undoubtedly start NYC at right centre as Wells is much more an out and out fullback. Both players would be wasted on the wing imo, but to me it looks like Sheck will get pushed there if Wells plays well enough to hold the fullback position in NYC. JT did alternate with Wells and Alofa last year though so maybe we'll see that again. Can't wait to see how they both go in the bulldogs trial. I'll be sure to post an in-depth review of how all the young guys handle the game.

geez some of you guys are always after a quick fix! Take it as fact..we will NOT be buying an established firstgrade fullback. There are a bunch of kids the club has invested in and who will ultimately have first dibs when mini retires. wells,alofa,shleck one will win the battle wait and see. Yes there is a risk with these young kids and expectations but the same goes when paying overs for big names. We've had our share of purchases go pear-shaped over the years as well.
I'm banking on either schleck or wells to come through. Check out youtube videos of keebra high with wells playing fullback. Speed to burn this kids. There is a rugby sevens match which shows his step and speed on display numerous times.

Sounds like his best position would be 6 then 1. If Sheck is our 1, Wells would certainly make a great winger..If these two are sucessful @ 1 and 6 @ nrl level, then either Pearce or Maloney may not be resigned?

I don't know him to well but he is a pretty cool dude. Underrated by many,I reckon he could be great at fullback in league. He was so proud to make the springboks world cup squad. He scored two tries in the Stormers win against the Lions in a trial yesterday. One try he did a great effort and beat about 4 men and in the other he just had to catch the ball in run to the line in the corner.
